Working at the Pub

I was at the Hollybush pub doing a rock performance for Dave, my boss. I was the guitarist of the band and it felt good to play guitar in public. After I performed, I had to carry on working at the pub. When it got late, he went off to bed but I had to stay and clean up all the mess. Luckily, I wasn’t alone as there were three other women hanging out so I sat down by them and started to talk to them.

After chilling out for a while, Dave came down and seen me. He just looked at me at first and then he told me to clean up the pub instead of just chatting and then he went back upstairs. I got up and cleaned out a load of papers and boxes that were in the corner of the pub by throwing them out into the street ready for the bin men to pick up.

I went inside and the girls left so I went upstairs. There was a spare room with a bunk bed so I decided to sleep on the top bunk for the night.

    Professor Snape’s Rock Performance

I was at school and one of my teachers was Professor Snape. He was putting on a rock school play for the year 11’s to show to the whole school. I was looking forward to this because I loved rock music. There was a hang of guys that I hung around with as one of them was my boyfriend. He was such a nice guy and he looked after me well. However, things started to go wrong when Professor Snape announced that this gang of guys were going to be professional and famous football players. This meant that they were being sent off for extreme training which meant I would never see him again as this was abroad.

I was so upset and he was gutted too but he really wanted to be a football player for his future career so I knew I couldn’t stop him from doing his dream job. We went down onto the first floor of the school where nobody went. We were sitting at the bottom of the stairs and basically having our last cuddle and saying goodbye. I couldn’t stop crying. He got up as he had to go. I was crying even more as he walked up the steps. When he got to the top of the stairs, he told me he loved me and then he went. I stayed at the bottom stairs crying. I felt so heartbroken I couldn’t move. Suddenly, I got out my pack of Ibuprofen (pain killers) and took a load of them. I was planning on killing myself. I sat in the corner and just leaned my head against the wall waiting to die.

Unfortunately, I got caught taking these pain killers by him and he shouted my mate Emma. They both ran down the stairs and took the pain killers off me. They both then grabbed me and took me to the hospital wing. As I was lying on the bed with a drip in my arm, my dad came. Great, that was just what I needed. He was standing there for ages talking to me but I didn’t want to talk to him. Eventually, the nurse came and told me that I was fine and that I could go so I went back home with my dad. I hated it.

I was back at school the next day and Professor Snape suggested that I join this Rock school performance that he was arranging to take my mind off my ex. My mate Emma was doing it along with my other mates so I thought I might as well. Emma was really angry with my ex for leaving me but I wasn’t. We had to dress up all rock like but I didn’t do much as I dressed up gothic anyway. I crimped my hair, put some hair accessories in and we just head banged to a load of rock music. It was good. Me and my mates would just chill out in the girls toilets and have a good laugh.

When we rehearsed enough for this performance, it was time to go on the stage and play it all out. When the red curtains pulled away, I noticed that the theatre was full of people. All the year 7’s was at the front and the year 10’s were at the back leaving year 8 and 9 in the middle. I was getting nervous but I was holding hands with Emma so I knew that things would be ok. She was a really good sport and got me motivated for a lot of things. There was a line of us across the stage and Professor Snape stood in the middle of us. He was wearing his black clothes and his cape as usual and he was holding a guitar. Suddenly, rock music was playing and he started doing a guitar solo.

We had to just head bang and kick are platforms up in the air and just go crazy. Near the end of the performance, we could do whatever we liked. So I got right at the front of the stage and started head banging. The little year 7’s were laughing because I was wearing my Mickey Mouse headband which was Mickey Mouse heads on springs. It was funny when I was head banging because the little heading was bobbing up and down. Emma could stop laughing either. We were just going really crazy and we started to drift away from the crowd without us knowing so one of the teachers told us to come back closer so that everyone could see us.

Eventually the rock performance had finished and we all had to sit on the floor. Just as we were about to sit down, my ex walked in to talk to Snape. Emma gave him such an evil look and then we sat down. I just looked away and didn’t think about him because I was having so much fun with this performance. I was laughing so much and it really lifted my spirits.

While Professor Snape was talking and we were sitting on the floor. I was thinking about how much I needed to wee and hoping it would be finished soon. Luckily, during Snape’s speech, the teacher behind us whispered that we could go. Emma headed off to the toilets and I followed her. When she got into the cubicle, I was telling her how much fun that performance was. I got into a cubicle, closed the door and sat on the toilet.

    Drama Week

I was in year 11 and it was option week. This was a really important week because it we get assessed in the end and the results would go on our record for college. There was a list of subjects given to us and we had to pick one subject that we wanted to do in the future and the subject that you had chosen would be the subject you had to do for a week. I wanted to be an actor in the future so I chosen Drama with my best friend Casey and another friend called Rebecca.

We had two drama teachers who were Mrs Bridgland and Mrs Palmer. And our assessment was based on an episode if the Amanda Show. This was going to be fun because I loved that show. As this girl in my class called Nichole was so popular and all the guys seemed to love her, she got chosen to be Amanda. There was on part of the show where there was a choir and Casey got chosen to be a part of it. I had a character where you don’t see very often which sucked. The drama group was split into two groups, people who had the main parts were with Mrs Bridgeland and the other people including me were with Mrs Palmer.

I was with Mrs Palmer along with my two mates, Casey and DJ. This was going to be fun because Mrs Palmer was my favourite teacher and I got on well with her really well. Firstly, we had to watch the episode of the Amanda show that we were going to perform and then we had to get into groups and plan what we were going to do so I got into a group with Casey and DJ. Later on, we got onto the good part which was the acting. DJ had to go off somewhere else so it was just me, Casey and some other people from the other classes.

All me and Casey had to do was sit there and tell each other the most boring jokes and laugh a lot at them. It was actually a good laugh. After that, Casey went off somewhere else to perform the choir. I had to watch other people perform for a while.

On the last day of the drama week and we had everything filmed and put together. We had to watch the whole thing then perform it in the theatre at my school. For some reason, there was no room for everyone in the class so a few of us which was me, Casey, DJ and some other had to sit in this really tiny cupboard. After about 10 minutes, I started to feel real claustrophobic so I randomly started grabbing the guy who was from another class. He looked freaked out so I let go of him and he walked out the room with DJ following. It was just me and Casey and I was still feeling badly claustrophobic so I asked Mrs Palmer if I could go out but she said no and she locked me in the room.

I started to have a panic attack and was finding it hard to breathe so I just sat in the corner and tried to calm myself down, I couldn’t watch the footage. When it was over, we had to go straight to the theatre so we could perform and the performance was going to be filmed by the BBC and that was how we was going to be assessed. However, just before I got into the room, I passed out. Casey and Mrs Palmer quickly went over to me and helped me up and put me on a chair.

I was in so much of a state, I couldn’t perform in the Amanda Show and therefore I couldn’t be assessed and nothing was going on my record for college, I was devastated and it was all Mrs Palmer’s fault. Although I couldn’t perform, I still decided to watch and I sat next to Mrs Palmer while watching it feeling really gutted and disappointed. When the performance was over, I hung out with people for a bit and they were asking me if I was ok and then I just went home. The drama week was a waste of time.

    Additional Comments:

I have no idea why I dreamt this, option week doesn't really exist and I don't do acting.
