German Exam
I was currently studying Business Information Technology at Birmingham University and to study Business, you had to study another language as well so that you could communicate in another language which could be useful for the future. I decided to study German since I studied it for 5 years at school. To study another language, if you knew someone from your previous college or school who knew the language, then you could get them to teach you, so I decided to ask my old German teacher, Mrs Palmer.
One night, I went on Facebook and I asked Mrs Palmer if she could go through another of teaching me German. She sent me a message saying that she would because there have been a load of other students from different universities who have asked her, so basically, she has a whole class of students where she can teach more German.
A couple of weeks later, I started to going to my old secondary school to learn some more German. It felt really weird being back at school and did bring a lot of memories. However, the last time I learned German, I was really messing about and didn’t get a good grade but this time, I decided to really concentrate so that I can do well. When I got into school, there were loads of other people in the class, like Jamie who used to be in my English class and Hollie who I used to be good mates with.
After so many months of German, I had to do 2 German exams. Me and Hollie were speaking again so she was texting me all the time and she had not changed at all since school since she was always crying and being depressed over nothing and texting me all of her stupid problems. My first exam for German was not so bad so I knew I did quite well with that one, however, the second one was apparently going to be much harder.
Just before the second exam, Hollie was texting me and telling me how depressed she was being exams were putting her down, I got so sick of it, I text back telling her to shut the hell up and that she has not got real problems and I also told her to get over herself and grow the hell up. She then replied saying that I was not a good friend and all sorts so I stopped texting her. It was like she had not grown up at all since school.
It was time to go into the second exam and I didn’t see her there, but apparently, there was another room for the under achievers to go to because apparently, the exam was going to be easier for them. When the exam started, I opened up the booklet and I knew that I was going to fail this exam. It was really hard and I just didn’t know where to start. Since there were only about 6 other people doing this exam, Mrs Palmer could see that I was struggling so she decided to call me over to her.
At first, I thought I was in trouble but she was going to help me. She was showing me things on her computer screen and whispering to me some key points that I needed to know in order to complete this exam. I couldn’t believe she was helping me, I thought this was cheating but I didn’t care because this was going to help me pass the exam. While she was helping me, Jamie come up to us looking quite annoyed.
‘Mrs, are you helping Cheryl with this exam?’ he said.
Mrs Palmer didn’t say anything and started looking at some revision cards. I decided to look away because I didn’t want to answer him either just in case I get myself into trouble.
‘Well are you?’ he said.
Again, Mrs Palmer didn’t say anything.
‘You are aren’t you?’ he started shouting.
Still, nothing was said and eventually he just walked off. When she managed to help me and I started getting it, I went back to my exam table and I found it a little easier, so then I knew I was going to pass the exam and it was all because of Mrs Palmer.
Hopefully, I wouldn’t be getting into trouble.

I dreamt that I was having an exam because I had to have an exam the next day, but it wasn't a German exam.

It was December 2012 and I was starting to get worried as apparently the world was going to end on the 21st. Most people didn’t believe that this would happen as people said the world was going to end loads of times in the past, however, I was so convinced that it was going to end. At first Garry said it didn’t believe it and he promised me that it wouldn’t end and people were making things up on the internet but as it gradually come to December, he changed his mind and thought it was going to end.
At the beginning of 2012, my dad decided to buy a very small plane, the one that would only fir 5 people. It was going to be me, Garry, my parents and my Nan. The week before the 21st, Garry and my Nan stopped at my house, just in case the world decided to end before then. Although it was all over the news about it finally coming to its time, my parents were still not convinced and they said that the Mayan calendar did not specifically say that the world was going to end, it just stopped.
Finally, the day come, it was the 21st and I woke up early really worried and I wanted to stay next to Garry all the time. To take our minds off it, me and Garry watched some films and my parents and my Nan just sat in the Conservatory. At first, I thought therewas some hope and that the world was not going to end because it was almost the evening and nothing we knew had happened, however, there was an all of a sudden bang we shook the house.
It could of just been a normal bang but my dad did not want to risk it and decided to get the plane ready. We all got into it and then my dad revved the engine and we took off. As it went up, we looked around and it was all dark, full of black smoke and there was lava everyone. All we could see was volcanic eruptions and it was slowly heading towards Sedgley.
I felt lucky that we got into the plane now otherwise we would of drowned in lava. My dad carried on flying until we got into an area that hadn’t been affected yet. We landed in the countryside and we got out the plane. My dad walked to a garage to get some more petrol while me and Garry walked around the countryside, making most of the beautiful nature before it all burnt to a crisp.
We found out that we were in Wales and that we were 100s of miles away from the nearest volcano which meant that we were safe for a while. I was so scared and nervous, I knew that very soon, we were all going to die and there was nothing we could do about it. I thought to myself that we could not escape the fact that the world is going to end and there will be no safe place for us to go to in a few days time.
We all decided to go into the town and have some breakfast and so something to try and take our minds off it. Me and my dad found this gadget shop that we wanted to check out while my Nan, mom and Garry went into the cafe and waited for us. As we were separated, there was an earthquake and the road got split into two which meant that me and me and my dad were separated from my Nan, mom and Garry. I was really upset, I wanted to be with Garry, and I wanted to die with him so I was hysterical.
There was nothing I could do about it and I had to deal with it and my dad promised me that we would eventually be back together so me and dad decided to walk about the place and see what we could do. There was no way for us to go back to the plane so my dad decided to get a car and since the world was ending, he decided to steal one.
Meanwhile, Garry, mom and Nan decided to go around the market. This market was really packed and there were people stealing things. My mom found a weird looking store and the guys running it looked really suspicious so they decided to go to the store and check it out. They sold all these different necklaces and there were these ones in specific. They were large necklaces with a purple heart on it and they looked really expensive and way too posh to be on a market store.
When my mom went up the guy on the store and asked him about the necklaces, he told her to go away and that he is not selling them to the likes of her. She found this very rude and started arguing with him and he told her that those necklaces are for special people who were going onto a spaceship away from the ending world. Basically, instead of having tickets, the people boarding the spaceship, will be showing the necklace and apparently, they cost millions.
My mom badly wanted those necklaces so sneakily, when the guy turned around, she grabbed about 5 of them and ran off. As there was a huge crowd, the guy had no idea who stolen them and couldn’t do anything about it, however, a group of guys who looked like his boss went up him and when he found out that the necklaces had been stolen, the guy on the store got punched and was in serious trouble.
My mom phoned my dad and said that she had tickets to this spaceship that takes us away from the world and make us safe and she told him where we could meet so that we could go to this spaceship, my mom said that there were free taxis where she was so they would find a way to get to the place we needed to go.
My dad decided to steal a land rover as there was one across the street and he was used to driving one. We got in it and my dad started the engine and started driving off really fast. We went along a main road but as we turned a corner, a volcano exploded and my dad had just about dodged it. After a while we got to the destination where my mom told us to meet her. It was a racing track and there were already 6 other cars racing.
My dad thought that while we wait for my mom, we could race the 6 cars so he decided to join in. However, half way through the race, the petrol ran out and the car stopped which meant he had lost and he had no car and the other men were all laughing at us.
I didn’t care about the race, I just wanted Garry here with me, so I just sat there waiting and hoping that they would be here soon.
Additional Comments:
This was a horrible dream to have and I was glad when I had woken up. I have no idea why I dreamt about the world ending but overall, I was glad to finish typing it up and I hope that I don't have a dream like that again.

Disappointing Holiday in Zante
It was my last term of my first year at University and me and Harvy were working on our last project for Business Systems. For this project, we were given a couple of people who were actually working in a proper business and we had to find a solution to help them out with their work. Me and Harvy got a couple of people from a really posh business that was from London and they wanted to know some key words and sentences in German.
As I studied German at school, I knew how to speak German quite well, therefore I was able to help them so I agreed on writing down all the keys words and showing them how to speak the language and Harvy would write the report. Overall, it was quite a fun project and I was glad that I was going to help someone in a proper business for real.
A few days later, me, Garry and my parents went to Zante for 10 days, as the project was due in next month, I thought I could work on it during the holiday. When we got there, I was shocked when I got into the hotel to see my class mates Chris and Dave from university. I was wondering what they were doing here, so I went up to them and spoke to them for a while. This was going to be a really good holiday as my boyfriend and my two close friends were here.
It turned out that Chris and Dave were on holiday because they were working on a project that was related to Zante and therefore they were going to spend the week here working on it. The first day I got here, I went jet skiing and I was relaxing on the beach and showing Garry around the resort as it was his first time abroad.
The first few days of the holiday went really well, I went swimming everyday and me and Garry were having a lot of fun on the beach and we got our own room at the hotel which made it even more great. One night, me and Garry decided to go shopping around the town. Garry was gutted because there wasn’t a music shop but we were looking round the gift shops and we did find some nice things.
When we got back to the hotel, Garry lay on the bed and said he didn’t feel too good at all, he said he felt really ill so he went to sleep. This put me in a sad mood because I didn’t like it when Garry was ill so I thought I would take my mind off it by working on my project and seeing Chris and Dave being as though I hadn’t seen them in a couple of days, so I headed off to their room.
I went to their room and started hanging out with them for a bit and taking interest in what project they were doing, I was telling them about my project and I decided to work on it in their room. We all had a good chat and messed about but it was time to go back into my room because I was worried about Garry.
When I got back into my room, I asked Garry to see if he was ok but he said he feels way worse than he did before and said that he will have to rest all day tomorrow. I was really gutted about this because tomorrow, we were planning to go on an all day boat trip around the island and explore the other places around Zante and I really didn’t want to go without him so the next day, I told my parents that I wasn’t going because of Garry being unwell and I didn’t want to leave him.
However, half way through the day, I started to get really bored so I went for a swim in the sea, it was really nice and refreshing but I was still worried about Garry and I was starting to really not enjoy the holiday at all. I was swimming all day hoping that soon, Garry would get better so we could both enjoy the last few days on holiday.
After my swim, I went back into my hotel room and Garry was still in bed saying that he still felt really ill, so I had a shower, seen Chris and Dave for a bit and worked on my project by writing different sentences in German and writing the German alphabet and how to say it so that Harvy could put this into the report.
When I was finished, I got into bed with Garry and just lay there staring at the ceiling hoping that Garry was going to be better tomorrow.
Additional Comments:
The reason why I have dreamt about going to Zante is because I am going there in about a months time and I will be going jet skiing almost everyday so I am really looking forward to going. Also, I think I dreamt about doing a project for Business Systems because I havn't long finished a large assignment for that module and handed it in so it is basically like a project.
However, I do not know why I have dreamt about Garry being ill being as though he hasn't been ill in a while.
