I was crawling through dark institutional hallways, whistling happy tunes. I noticed the floor had the
most interesting patterns, tiles of different sizes and shapes. It was all colored a dark bluish grey, I
think mostly because of the poor lighting. I also noticed that I was exceptionally masterful with the
whistling. It made me feel happy.
I crawled through a set of double doors into a light filled gymnasium type room. And old waking life
acquaintance Nancy M. was walking behind me. She was chastising me for crawling, saying somethign
like, "Why Sharon! I would never have expected YOU to behave in such an unseemly way!" The idea
behind her words was that I was acting out some submissive role that no one knows about. I casually
got to my feet, blowing her off without a second thought. I had been crawling because it suited me,
and for no other reason. I didn't feel like I had to defend myself to her at all.

I rang the doorbell of a tiny little door hidden on someone's front porch. It swung open slowly, looking
more like a glass bookcase than any kind of door. A dozen people barreled out of a side door and I
stood up quickly, trying hard to look as though I hadn't just caused the secret door to be opened.
There was something clandestine I was trying to accomplish, some sort of secret mission.
The people rushed past me, meandering around the dark front yard. I watched them from the porch
for a little while, growing annoyed when they were making so much noise. I called out, "HEY..there are
neighbors around.....hush!" They ignored me.

My cell phone started ringing while I was scurrying around the house at lunchtime, trying to get ready
to go back to work. When I picked it up to answer it, all the buttons fell off into my hand. I handed the
whole thing to Andy, to see if he could fix it. It frustrated me the phone kept ringing and ringing and I
couldn't answer it.
Turns out Andy couldnt' fix it either. I finally got it to the point where I could see the screen. The
number calling was 805-342 (somethingsomething). A little screen beneath the caller id screen was
scrolling information. The call was originating from Georgia. There were tiny colored text messages
about their state bird and it's habitats, their weather, stuff like that. I still couldn't answer the thing
though. Who did I know in Georgia I wondered?
I walked out of my home into a large partially covered plaza (my house seemed to be contained on the
ground level of a huge office building). Anna was with me and I was still holding my phone in my hand,
trying to answer it each time it rang. A row of caged dogs was neatly lined up to one side, a VERY
handsome paramedic organizing some demonstration about how to use dogs in rescue work. A huge
truck was making a wide turn in the plaza, I worried that Anna would get hit. That pitfall past, we
continued walking. A van driven by a young girl was backing up FAST towards us. We both jumped out
of the way. I felt angry that the driver was driving so carelessly, then it REALLY mad me mad to see
she was grinning about how she scared us.
Additional Comments:
When I woke up, my husband's cell phone was ringing. He now uses that for an alarm clock. My mind
always incorporates his alarm clocks into dreams. ALWAYS frustrating dreams.
