Standing in an office building, large glass windows overlooking a pleasant sunny city-scape. I watched
what I thought was a dark cloud forming, thinking perhaps a storm was on it's way. As it continued to
develop I realized it was smoke from an explosion. Something large and blue was rising from the smoke,
a type of geni I think, with several heads.
Sometime later I found myself walking south in the city. I saw up ahead a commotion in the street and
I recognized it as the start of one of those *geni-things* again. This time several super-hero type
folks were surrounding it. I thought to myself how young they all looked, and I wasn't exactly sure who
the good guys were versus the bad guys. Were the super-heroes the good guys? I had been TOLD so,
yes, but were they really? I didn't know. I hurried into the shelter of a tall brick apartment building,
which turned out to be a mistake because it was really the hidden facility for weapons. The back walls
fo the building started to slowly open up and huge guns were being mobilized. Someone manning the
weapons must have had second thoughts because the guns were drawn back then, folding back into
the building in a rubbery way. Another section of bricks gave way and something came out which is
difficult to describe. Very tall, flat brick robots started to telescope outwards. I couldn't tell if they
were supposed to be like people, or like ramparts. The brick they were constructed of had a peculiar
rainbow sheen to it and I had the impression of Indian (read native america) headdresses along their
tops. A small boy came out of the building then, running along the top of the wall now formed by the
brick robot-people. He wore a black crown that tottered on his head as he ran. It occurred to me that
I could probably easily reach up and trip him, although how I could really manage this I don't know, the
brick people were at least 20 feet tall. Again, I didn't know if this kid (who I thought of as the King)
was the bad guy here, or a good guy.
Additional Comments:
something about this dream is deeply offensive to me, and utterly boring at the same time.

The inside of the grand hotel was dark and sparkly at the same time, luxuriously appointed. I walked
with some friends and spied an escalator that had no steps. I said, "Let's take that up!" and led the
way towards it. As soon as we got on, I realized there were steps, they had just been concealed. It
was difficult to maintain your footing on this escalator as the entire thing dipped and swayed like a
roller coaster. I held on tight to the black handrails and eventually arrived safely on the second floor.
My friends and I went into a bathroom to check our hair and adjust our dresses. I looked into the mirror
as I re-arranged my hair, short and smooth light brown hair that didn't reach my shoulders. (In waking
life, my hair is dark and unruly, longer by 8 inches or more) The four of us felt ready to face the crowd
and so we emerged, smiling and greeting acquaintances, we were attending a wedding. We passed the
open bar and I considered getting something to drink, but my friends were walking ahead so I followed
after them. We passed a long table where I thought I saw a friend, John P. At the end of the table my
friends took seats. I arrived just as they were sitting down and looked with dismay, there was not a
seat left for me, I'd have to sit at the head of the table where I knew I wasn't allowed. Then a woman
I know, H, came and took that seat. Oh happy, my friends were arranging a bench so I would have a
seat with them after all.
A lady with light blonde hair, long and shining walked past us. My friends greeted her, one said, "I've
never seen your hair out of it's braid!" She walked away and I watched the ends of her hair sway and
hit her upper thigh, I'd never seen such long pretty hair. I said, "THAT is the woman with the braid?"
Apparently, she was quite familiar to our group, I hadn't recognized her with her hair down. H, the
woman who sat at the head of the table, chastised us for mentioning the braid, "You embarrassed her
to death.", she told us.
I decided to go visit my friend John P. and walked back towards where he was sitting. As I walked up
to him, the group of men he was sitting with looked at me like I was a stranger. I recognized them all,
then stopped.....oh, the man I thought was John P. was someone else. I had been mistaken, and I was
embarrassed, blushing and backing away with a slight stumble. I decided to walk back to the open bar
and I passed a woman I knew sitting on a bench with 3 others. They were drinking martinis and playing
a little game with them, laughing uproariously. I wished I was able to just, sit and relate to people I
hardly knew like that.
The bar was closing down as dinner was about to be served. Just beyond our own dining area was a
dinner theatre who's play had just started. A murder mystery/comedy that I was familiar with. A short
lady, an actress, covered in stage make-up ran out into the small lobby. She smiled at me and I could
hear the music from the play. A fun and catchy tune that I remembered even after I woke up.

Walking up a darkened street, pushing a stroller with a small black baby girl. I entered a hotel where a
beauty pagent of sorts was being held. I was a contestant and I was hoping I wasn't too late. A
young man with red hair held the door open for me. I had to struggle with the baby stroller a little,
manhandling it up the stairs.
I walked up to a woman who sat behind an official looking desk. I was a little confused about where to
go and I felt shy and awkward. She told me I needed my entrance ticket, which I could find down in
the lobby, hadn't I passed that place on my way up? I replied that I hadn't, I had come through a side
door, completely bypassing the lobby. She carefully explained to me where I was to go and I was
dismayed inside as I'd have to manhandle that darn stroller down the stairs again. I must have looked
like I wasn't comprehending what she said as she called a boy over and told him to show me the way. I
was slightly embarrassed as it was the same red-headed boy, he must work for the hotel.
He directed me to an elevator and we all got in, him, me and the little girl I pushed in the stroller. The
doors closed and we smiled at each other a little. I noticed then that he was wearing a sort of livery
with the emblem of the hotel embroidered at his neck, a green oak leaf surrounded by gold. I was
trying not to notice that he was wearing shorts and wellington boots as well, I was afraid I would laugh,
or point that out to him and I didn't want to further embarrass myself or him. We chatted a little about
the beauty pagent, one of the qualifications was that the contestants must be caretakers of small
children. I think we talked a little about my own little girl (who again, did not belong to me, I merely
took care of her). He asked me if I didn't think my shirt was too low cut. I looked down, noticing the
necklace I wear everyday laying in it's normal place against a sky blue top. It wasn't a low cut top at
all I thought to myself. I could feel my cheeks grow hot.
