I was in some kind of lake or pool. On one side was a mountainous ridge, and on the other a road and hillside with trees and another ridge and a sunrise. I was hovering around, but sometimes the water didn't seem to be there and we were all just floating in the air. Most of the tmie the water level was uinclear as well, it almost felt like it was high up on the ridge. I was swimming around and watching the sun and thinking about light. I heard something about relativity: time is relative to speed, and so is distance, so from light's point of view, it travels nowhere in no time, it is just an exchange of energy. I was trying to imagine this and imagine that the sun and myself were actually touching, and if I could just experience one isolated moment, whoever i could see was actually part of me. I swam in little bursts trying to avoid people, and kept imagining the oneness caused by the light.

Next thing I remember, I was swimming around collecting cutlery off people. It was only dining knives, and I had a little cutlery unit out of a dishwasher. I remember collecting lots of knives, but I kept putting two into each hole by mistake. This seemed to work though, and I couldn't realise that it was a dream, I just accepted it. When I surfaced, I was in a real swimming pool, but the transition was smooth. My friend Jack was at one end, and my mate Smidge was at the other. The pool doubled as a tennis court (Jack does play tennis) and they were trying to play. There was a huge tight crowd of people in the area where smidge had to serve, so they gave up playing and came to talk to me. Jack offered me a few starbursts, and said tall people liked the green ones, so I had a green one. Soon after, I got out of the pool again, and it changed yet again. I was on a sun lounger and lots of lads were in and aroudn the pool. One was Martin, some half mad guy I knew at school, and he was clinging on to a fence which was at the far side of the pool, beyond which was the valley from the first pool. He was bombing into the pool or something and I was annoyed. I spoke to someone else on another lounger, but can't remember who they were. I also found some kind of ball which drifted around when I threw it, until it ended up in the pool for them to play with.

Then, I was in my Uni room, getting ready to leave, just surveying the almost empty room. I was still half naked, maybe from swimming, so I put on a t-shirt. My mum was waiting outside in the hall, sat under a notice board. She's a big fan of Il Divo, and when I went out, she was telling a story about how she was depressed that she didn't get to see them in concert, and she was just handing out their promo CDs outside the venue somewhere, and some guy took one off her, and a moment later he came back, saying he thought she had the wrong person, and it was in fact Sebastien, one of the singers. She was overwhelmed and so surprised she hadn't noticed. While she was telling this story a girl came out of a door with a new poster to put on the notice board, over one which might have been of Sebastien. I went to shut the door and saw the nameless faceless person from the sunlounger, who had been my friend this year, hurrying away. I said see ya, and they just gestured. I wasn't even sure if it was male or female. I was told that next year, my room would be right next door to the old one. Illogical as this was, I went to look, and found a gathering of people and a teacher making a speech. I found a foot rest/seat from my room in there, and it was broken so I couldn't sit on it. I got worried that someone would notice and make me pay for it. I found Jack on a sofa and listened to the teacher talking. I had been studying French and this part of the dream was in French. She asked if we'd ever been speechless in French. My mum answered, and I think my brain made up some French sounding words for me not to understand, and then I thought out an answer in my head but didn't say it.

Finally, mum and I were sitting on a bench outside the halls in the sun, and my cousin Emma came past with her daughter Olivia and two other kids (from Olivia's dad's other relationship). She stopped and said hello. Olivia looked way different in the dream. She looked about seven but really chubby and with larger build than she should have. She said hello with a gormless smile. I waved and listened to the conversation. Something bad had happened recently, and Olivia had almost been kidnapped or something of the sort. As I listened I became part of the story almost. Some guy, maybe Olivia's dad was stood against a wall in a train station foyer or somewhere, and a cop walked over and started questionning him about the incident. Something to do with putting up a missing poster of Olivia so he could find out where she had been seen or something, and get custody of her. Something messed up like that. The guy said he didn't put the poster up, he was just standing in front of one when they saw him. Then the cop was being all bad cop and insulting Olivia's dad, and some kind of pun came up about the fact he lived on a council estate. He said: I live on an estate, I'm not an estate agent. Something about being poor or whatever. Then I was back on the bench, and apparently Emma and this guy had now moved in, hence why all there kids with Emma. She also said (her brother) Ben had been like a great father since he moved in, even though in waking life he would never be living with them if that happened.

The theory about light thing I heard a while ago and I've been thinking about it ever since. Its profound.

I was in my Auntie's car. It was sporty. They all got out to do something. I went and sat in the front to look for something in the glove box, then it turned into a Jeep. I accidentally pushed my foot on the accelerator. Rather than taking it off, I grabbed the wheel in stead and drove for a while. It felt hard to control, but I wasn't worried as SUVs are robust. I ended up almost crashing into a ditch, forgetting to take it out of reverse when turning round, and almost crashing again, and taking it back to roughly the same place. A group of mechanics joked at me for driving like a fool.

Complete change of scenery. I'm having a sleepover in my room. My little bro is there and my mate Jack and a few others, vague acquaintances from school. The whole thing is centred on music. I sit listening to an ipod for some time. I was also playing guitar before bed. We eventually went to sleep. When I woke up, I looked out the window, and on the neighbours conservatory, something weird happened. A young teenaged girl and boy kind of jumped or flew onto it. I just caught this and ignored the irrealism of it. They were both naked, and started doing it doggy style on top of the conservatory. I was shocked, I thought bloody hell she's a bit young isn't she? I noticed her about to turn her head back and hid at the side of my window, sat on the bed. In the morning, at breakfast, my mum complained that my music had been playing out loud into the night, even though I had my headphones in. I played bass at the table; a song from real life, the chords were E, D, C, then a little riff but that's a million different songs.

Later, we went to try and get my brother a job. I was suggesting things, and we went out in search (literally). Things got weird here. It was like I was looking at time-lapse footage, or photos of me in a marathon type race, crowds of people. I saw my curly hair from behind which looked nice, and then time changed to that moment. It was almost like a memorial to the American revolutionary war, or something. I was running down a street of mud. I found an old case with a really strange gun in it. It didn't look like a lead ball shot gun or anything. it looked like a modern rifle, but made mostly of wood and almost symmetrical. The main handle and fore grip were like opposite shapes, so it looked symmetrical. Then, I was stood at a sideshow like demonstration, behind two barrels of gunpowder. I was being told how to tell the story of the gun by the sideshow guy. The barrels were empty except for a few odd bits, one of which was an English pound coin. I noticed it looked out of place. Soon though, I jumped into a real battle situation. I hid behind the barrels. There was a man from the local town opposite me, in clear view, and I tried to shoot him, a few times, but the gun was still a replica. I was getting frantic, but he wasn't a threat, so I moved on. Next thing I know, I have a sniper of sorts. I have a few comrades, and we run under an arch into a square, and this time I take cover behind a barrel. I concentrate on sniping, and then after a few shots, my comrades are all dead, and I realsie I have to reload. This takes me a while to realise after the similar replica situation just before. I soon also realise I don't know how to reload. I try to cram my little blue shells into the barrel, but two get stuck. They look more like shotgun cartidges minaturised to bullet sized ones. I realise you have to pull the lock back each time to load them properly. By this time, the enemies are slowly advancing, watching me desperately try to reload. I give up soon, and try to reason with them: You wouldn't shoot a defenceless man would you? They decide not to and help me to learn to reload. I'm not sure why. At this point I become somebody else, or myself splits into two. I can still talk.

The reloading ceremony has become elaborate and ridiculous. We are all cramming bullets into the top of the barrel, and I'm trying to pull the lock back and forth in time to let them drop down into the magazine. But we have crammed so many bullets that the magazine has extended and gone underground or something. My other real self is down in the hole, making sure the bullets are in properly, and digging further down as the magazine elongates. The boss shouts down, how much more, and I reply from underground, about five metres more. Then my other self, which might have become one of them now, says: Maybe he's digging his way out boss.

From one edge of the square, an elegantly dressed woman enters, with a rigid posture, dressed in some elaborate dress with gold bodice and all that jazz, a very post-victorian woman. She is called the golden lady of the Golden 8. She passes back out through a door near us, which wasn't there before. As soon as she is through it, the door rebounds inwards and a blonde woman runs in with a gun. She may have come to rescue the other me, who has been forgotten momentarily. She is followed by a Scandinavian blonde woman carrying a knife. We do not do anything, and the first woman leaves the second there to watch us while she checks the place out. End.

    Lucid Intent? No

This dream has been viewed 974 times.

This was a long dream. I was a freshman, on fresher's week, or just after, just getting into the uni spirit of my own accommodation etc. I was 19, because I took a gap year, others were 16 and 17, and I made a 'joke' that I was glad they weren't 15. My dream self has an abstract sense of humour.

I'm going to the cinema with a guy I just met, who also reminds me of Lewy. Another lad joins us. In the queue for tickets are Emma and Carmen, family friends who are 14. They're obsessed with Harry Potter in waking life, but the guys I'm with are eyeing them up a bit which I am annoyed and embarassed by. As we got to the ticket window, I suddenly found myself on the other side, I'd wandered through without a ticket. My mate had his, and I didn't. We carried on walking up a slope (outside now) towards the screens. I was talking to a random girl about how I'd forgotten to get a ticket. Then, I realised it was a dream, as I had skipped through the ticket booth. I told the girl, and then for some reason, in stead of trying to summon the ticket, I tried to summon a big mac and fries. I had both hands open, and kept willing the meal to appear in them, but it didn't. Unusually, in this dream, I could close my eyes without the dream blacking out.

We never got to the movie. In stead, the girl had turned into Sarah, and we went back to her halls. We walk round the stairs, looking for her place, and we have to go an odd way. I soon found out why. At the bottom of the stairs that lead directly into her living area, there was a sofa. We sat on it and watched TV. After a while I moved over to another chair and went to sleep almost, closing my eyes for what seemed like a long time. It was really relaxing and comfy, but I could never get 'to sleep' fully, as the light was still on - a dream sign I failed to notice.

When I woke up, The sofa had turned into a bed, and sarah was asleep on it. She woke up, and also in the room had materialised my cousin Ben. We convince Sarah to go on this console game. It reminds me of some kind of classic game but a modernised version. It was like a 3D platformer, and I went and sat on a two-seater adjacent to the bed to watch. I held Sarah's hand. Then after a moment I though that may be hindering her ability to play, so I let go, but noticed no difference in playing ability. She was jumping around and then went into some water, and a huge butterfly net closed over her. She was captured like a fish. At this point the dream went weird. The view became inside of the game, and then dived underwater and turned into a nature documentary. It was about mating octopi. They had contorted into opposing shapes so they 'fitted' together during mating, and I heard the commentator say that the male injects a viral DNA cell into the mouth of the female and we saw this exchange of fluids. At this point, I felt my left calf as though it were being pinched, even though I was a disembodied observer, and I managed to pull myself back out of the TV world as it were, and into the room again.

I found a photo on the wall with me in it. I had no idea when it was taken or where Sarah got it. It doesn't exist in real life. In the photo, there were two long flat-topped grassy mounds along the partition between two fields, and the 'ditch' they created in the middle. My old Boys Brigade friend Hicksy was there, with his Dad (who I've never met), who looked really similar. There was also My little brother and friend Jack Grodon. These people have never met each other. There was water in the little ditch, and Hicksy was posing over it.

I inserted into the photo, and became an observer within the scene, looking at my own awesome red trainers, which I was astonished with at the time; they were so cool. Mainly red, with white and yellow logo strips like puma/reebok. Then I was inside the photo body, greeted Jack, who I haven't seen for ages in waking life, and talked with him, sitting on the slope of the ditch. I was looking through a catalogue while we talked. It was either like the one from 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' (full of animals, hence related to the octopus part) or something to do with trainers. Jack asked to have a look, and I told him not to drop it in the muddy water. End.

    Additional Comments:

When I woke up, my left calf felt weird, like almost a pinching feeling or the feeling of a hair being tugged. Pretty close to lucidity this time. To be honest, trying to summon objects into being seems an advanced leap, but I genuinely believed I could at the time, which is a good sign I guess.
