I get a call asking me to teach the 4th and 5th grade Sunday school class at magnolia church. I don't really want to. I do better with youth or adults but I agree to do it anyway.
I get to church and walk into the foyer. I see Ronnie L. I also see Terry E. Terry looks a little different and I am not sure at first if it is really him or not.
I decide I need to go find my class.. I then realize I have forgotten my bible and I never even prepared a lesson. I figure I can borrow a bible from someone and since they are 4th and 5th graders I can probably just wing it with a lesson.
I go to find my class but I seem to forget what I am doing. I walk into a class and there are some teenagers in there. White and black.. I ask them "is this the teenage class" and they say yes... I feel out of place and I say out loud, "well hell, I aint a teenager".. I leave to try to find the young adult class but then I Remember that I am 46 years old and this just seems real strange to me because it seems like I should just be a teenager.. I have forgotten all about the fact that I was suppose to teach the 4th and 5th graders.. I want to go sit in the adult class and join in the discussions..
