It seems that there was a convention of sorts going on at Mudd. Roxy Leigh was giving a presentation on something engineering/robotish in one of the Galilieo’s (though it didn’t really look like one of the Galileo’s). I think I was supposed to be helping with the projection or something, because I was going in and out of the room, and got to see part of her powerpoint before the actual presentation. There was a lot more to this dream – Katie telling me that she was really going to need me when we get back to Mudd, lots of random hugging – but I totally forgot it. The perils of waiting to record dreams…

I went to Westfield pool. It’s slightly different from the real Westfield pool, of course. The diving board is seriously reinforced and fancy looking, and the diving well is on the east side of the pool (instead of West). Two lifeguards watch over the deep end, and they talk back and forth for a short while before each diver goes off, making jokes and silly stories about the diver. People are allowed to swim in the deep end, because they make such a big deal and it takes forever to go off the board. The lifeguards are apparently the same team that worked there last year, so they get along very well. Two of the lifeguards are Claire Ronde and Jillian Conway. At one point Claire starts having “seizures” which basically entail her flailing a lot and losing her breath. Jillian knows how to deal with it so they always work together, sitting on the same stand (there is now a tall stand on the east side of the pool, next to the new location of the deep end). At various points during my time at the pool, the lifeguards seem to think that I’m part of their rotation. I have to keep on reminding them that I’m not even on payroll for Splash this year, much less subbing at Westfield today. As I’m about to leave, I run into Tino! He insists that we go for a little swim, since we never got a chance to do so during the semester. I’m not really prepared, so I have to go to the lost and found to get some goggles. There is a lifeguard in charge of the lost and found, and apparently you have to pay $3.76 or something to rent goggles. Ms. Randall is in line in front of me for goggles. When I get my goggles, they very clearly have someone’s name written on them, but apparently that doesn’t matter since they were lost in 2003. Once I’m ready, Tino and I get in on the South side of the deep end, planning to swim laps north-south (the other way is still longer, but apparently the pool is big enough now that this is a full normal pool length). Tino takes off ahead of me, swimming butterfly and claiming that otherwise I wouldn’t be able to keep up. I start out also swimming butterfly out of defiance, but I switch to freestyle so we don’t crash into eachother when he starts coming back, and stick with it from there on because I’m not keeping up. We only swim a 50, with me swimming in very slowly, clearly fairly tired. Tino is wearing sweats when I make it back (though still in the water), and announces that he feels like going for a run. I was planning on at least swimming a 50 breaststroke with him, but he wants to go running, so I let him go. After swimming for a little bit, I am back on the south end of the deep end, and sitting on a ledge slightly below the water (kind of like the weird drainage ledges at EPIC). My phone is sitting on that ledge too. I am pretty upset, because this means that my phone is almost certainly broken. I leave the pool with a bunch of MSCF people, and as we get out, we start several giant group hugs. I think we’re all hugging Zachary Maguire at some point, and later on Peter Mauer definitely hugs me (as per usual), with someone else hugging him from behind. The hugs are strangely awkward, and at some point I was sitting on someone’s head as part of some strange hug/acrobatic thing we were doing. Later on, while people are still hanging around and hugging outside of the pool, I go back in to return my goggles or get my phone or something. I see Caleb Perry walking out with some other guy. When I find my phone, it apparently works, in spite of the waterlogging.

Part 1 – I was sitting in the bath tub in my bathroom at home. I had my set of awesome gel pens, and somehow, I could use them to write on the water. Mason Reynolds was sitting outside of the bath tub, fully clothed, and also writing things in the water. We were mostly writing signatures and names as we conversed. I was “modestly” holding myself in a ball so that he couldn’t see any of the private parts of my naked body, but the fact of the matter is that I was still naked. The conversation wasn’t awkward at all – it was as if I was fully clothed and we were good friends just having a normal conversation. Mason left eventually, and just as he walked out the door he ran into Pastor Eddie who dove into a lecture on consorting with women and told him that he’d never be qualified to become a pastor. I heard/saw this conversation because Mason left the door slightly cracked as he left. I felt incredibly ashamed, as I wanted the best for Mason, and didn’t want to hold him back. I also felt angry, because I thought that Eddie was exaggerating the situation, and it wasn’t really Mason’s fault anyway.

Part 2-  I’m sitting in a large hot tub at some public place with a lot of other women. There is some young (13ish) blonde girl who apparently is 95+% pure, and wants to see how many purity points she can lose in the span of 5 minutes. She goes around the hot tub and performs increasingly risqué physical/sexual acts with other women (not me, these people had apparently agreed to it earlier. I was sitting next to the designated timer), ending with something that apparently is lesbian sex.
