I was with friends at a football stadium. I think it was Highbury, though the home team had blue and white quartered flags that I could see being waved from my vantage point of the refreshment area that ran all around the ground underneath the stands. It was here that I was sitting, away from friends that I was attending the game with. We were at the third game of the day - a whistle stop tour to see how many games I could make in a day.

I heard on the news that Middlesex CCC had registered their lowest ever score of 11 all out in a game of cricket, and wanted to see all the details in the newspapers. In the meantime, there was a game of cricket going on that I was attending. The umpires told me that they were going to take a cake onto the field that was too hard to eat. In front of me were seated the press, and I went up to one of them to tell this relevation, but decided it was of little relevance to the proceedings.

I was playing cricket. I was a off spin bowler, running up to the wicket and throwing down some off cutters to the batsman. The first couple hit the surface and went harmlessly wide, but the third was a little further to the off and bit back viciously in to the batsman, removing his leg bail. He was so impressed that he asked me to show him the grip I had to get such spin on the ball.
