I was talking gibberish to Paul Foot as he was doing his comedy act, making ab libs as I dominated a conversation. I think he was impressed with some of the nonsense comments I was coming out with. It was as if I was doing his act, but funnier. I had two friends with me who were quite amazed with my behaviour. I must admit I was wondering just how far it was going to be before I got booted off the stage.

I was working at a video shop, watching a USA version of The Young Ones, with an American version of
Rik Mayall's character having curly hair. Lots of scenes were left in, even if thete were errors. The BBC
series was much better.
