This was a dream of prostitution and a middle aged lady who was excited to have earned her first wages as she took up the oldest profession in the world. The background to this story is that I was playing on earphones a Steely Dan album Can't Buy A Thrill which features on the back cover some images of would be prostitutes against a wall.

Mum and I driving and there was a fault with the windscreen wipers.  An oncoming car signals to us and we pull over to check out the problem. Mum is now uncertain if she is on a slip road so I suggested that we head back to the previous roundabout and take the right exit. Yes, that's a good idea, but Mum wanted to walk back and check instead.

My monthly bus pass had been sold to a man without my consent and so I told his friends that I needed it back because if he was caught using it it would not be just him who would be in trouble. As it turned out,  the man was a bus conductor and I was waiting to board his bus. He said the next twenty could get on I was the twenty first but I got on anyway. He didn't like this and so told me to get off. I called him something unpleasant but got off all the same and began walking.  Behind me came running footsteps and I knew it was the conductor coming to fight me. He was a brute of a man so this could only mean a beating, so I abandoned any thoughts of running and waited for the inevitable. But he approached slowly and said 'kneel down' and we said a prayer. He was an old friend of mine.
