I was in Kayenta with large group. We're playing cards or something on a deck on the hill. There's a nice overlook of town. I mention that I got "The Dark Knight Rises" as a gift from my mom. Someone asks why I'm excited when I got the trilogy for my birthday.

Then strong winds come in. The sky goes dark. I see two large funnel clouds in the distance. I tell Etienne but she doesn't turn around. Her husband, Tim, tells her. One is a big tornado now. She gets really excited, but we get nervous.

Our group splits up. Tim, Etienne, myself and a fourth person walk toward the high school housing. We know the other people in the group are safe. But we have to find safety.

Additional Comments:

I did get the "Dark Knight" trilogy from my brother last year, so my dreaming mind had some semblance of reality.

I saw two funnel clouds a week or two ago when I was visiting a nearby town. That's probably why these were in the dream.

I was in a large building. I think it was part of a university. It was new and really nice. I was in the lobby with my brother and some other people. It was open for about three stories and had big columns spanning to the ceiling. The windows out front ran along the curved facade. I liked the looks of this building.

The sky was really dark. There were bad-looking storm clouds quickly moving in. I went up some stairs to get a better view out the big windows. My brother was with me. The building overlooked a large body of water. I don't know if it was an ocean or a lake.

Then out of the clouds came several tornadoes. They actually were waterspouts because they were over the water, but they didn't really pick up the water. It just splashed out from the base. The clouds were extremely dark; almost black. That made the tornadoes more menacing.

I think we ran downstairs to find shelter, but I'm not certain. We went to a room that had a ceiling as high as the lobby's, but it was packed with things like electronics or servers. We figured it would be safer in there.

I was in a city I don't know, and I was driving through a neighborhood. I drove around a curve in the road and saw Bones, my dad's friend from college. I pulled over and got out of the car. He didn't recognize me at first, but I walked up to him and said hi. His wife got out of his car, and so did his daughter, Emily. We all hugged and talked.

I told Emily I was happy for her because she was married. We hugged again. She had on a nice sweater, and I told her the sweater was nice and soft and probably warm.

Then my brother showed up. We walked around a little bit. I had my SLR with me and two lenses. One was the 18-55, and the other was a 70mm. We were inside a building, and I saw some storm clouds in the distance. Some of the clouds were orange, and I told my brother that meant they were capable of forming a tornado. He looked at them but wasn't impressed because there were no tornadoes.

We went to the roof of a two-story building so we could get a better view. Then I saw swirling dirt nearby that looked like a dust devil. But it was getting stronger and bigger, and I realized it was the bottom of a tornado. The funnel cloud hadn't formed yet, but this was a tornado. I told my brother, but he didn't believe me. He said it was just a dust devil.

Then it started getting even bigger and going through the neighborhood. I switched to my 70mm lens and tried to get pictures. But my camera was acting like a film camera, and I couldn't advance the film to get a picture. The shutter wouldn't press down.

We went in the street and ran around. I wanted to find shelter away from windows, but my brother wanted to see a tornado. The tornado headed toward us, and I watched as my brother ducked next to a wall and windows. The windows shattered.

    Additional Comments:

I sure am dreaming a lot about my camera.
