I was having a birthday party in Phoenix. I was at a small, unfamiliar apartment. I knew it was Phoenix because there were palm trees, it was hot and dry, and somehow I just knew where I was. Friends from my childhood and college were there: Meghan, Madeline and Jessica. they showed up in their own vehicles. I went out to greet them.
I waited for more people to show up. Meghan left. Jessica was in a Jeep. I walked over to the driver's side and talked with her. Madeline was in a vehicle next to her, so I talked to her from there by talking louder through the passenger's window.
I was upset that things didn't go well. No one else showed up, and that made me a little angry.

Daniel, Blaise, Zack and I were in some house in Kayenta. It wasn't any of our houses. Daniel and Blaise were showering in the dining room. Zack was showering in the kitchen, and I went in there to shower too. We were planning on going out that night. There were two shower heads in there, so we had our own.
Zack's water was burning hot, and he kept pointing it at me. I didn't like that, so I curled up and sat on the ground. I was yelling, which got Daniel and Blaise's mom's attention. She came in, and I left the kitchen. I was wearing a shirt but nothing else. At first I thought she'd be OK with my nudity because she's a mom, but I grabbed a towel and covered up.
She asked us what we were doing later. Blaise said there was a big sex party. A flier on the door about the party said there would be sex and music. She didn't like that idea, and Daniel tried to shut Blaise up, but he kept talking. He said there would be girls and music and dancing and drugs.
That's when I started thinking I wasn't going to go out. It didn't sound like my kind of party.
Additional Comments:
Even in my dreams, I don't enjoy going out. Jeez.

I was hanging out with Betty and Cindy, a co-worker and former co-worker, respectively. We were at Cindy's house getting ready to have dinner. She was having a dinner party, and a lot of her friends showed up. I didn't know any of them, and I was getting annoyed, so I left. As I walked home, I walked along a road. I walked in the grass. To my left were trees, and the road was to my right. It was like I was in the East, not Amarillo.
Ahead of me was a small canal or drainage ditch. There was a pool of water at the end of it, and the ditch ran under the road. Three or four people were standing near it. As I got closer, I saw that there were penguins in the water. The people were bothering them. One of the people was Sean, another former co-worker. I looked at the penguins and tried to tell the people to stop bothering them. Sean started bothering me. He told me I should ask out someone at work. He made fun of me and belittled me. I ignored him and turned back.
Then I went inside a building. I had a short story from another former co-worker, Eddie. I was at a publisher and was supposed to critique it. I didn't have much time, so I just wrote that the story was dull and that it was racist and homophobic. I didn't have specific examples, so I just made something up. I wrote my critique on the cover.
Then I was back at Cindy's house. People were bugging me about something, and I was getting annoyed. There was a drainage ditch next to her yard, so I stood next to that. Cindy's friends were talking to me about the story I edited and why it was racist and homophobic. I couldn't explain it, so I just got mad and told them to leave me alone. I crossed the ditch and went to the other side, but people were over there and bothering me too.
Additional Comments:
The drainage ditch was similar to the ditches in my old neighborhood in Kayenta. It was lined with concrete, except it was deeper, and the walls were steeper.
