I was in a cross between my apartment now and my house in Kayenta. I was in the living room, but the wall was big and bare like my apartment. There were curly tailed lizards running around on the wall.
I had a wooden spoon and was trying to hit them. One ran in the runnings of the sliding glass door. I hit it with spoon and handed it to my cat to chase or eat.
Additional Comments:
I don't have a cat, and the cat in this dream wasn't the cat from my childhood. But somehow it was "my" cat.

I was in the living room of my house in Kayenta. My brother and mother also were there. Tim and I were sitting on the couch. The three of us were talking about rain. I said Texas is in a drought and that it's dangerous when a lot of rain falls in a quick period. Mom argued that it's not. I tried to describe how rain runs off of dry ground instead of being soaked in, which causes flash flooding.
I stood up to say something, and Mom got mad at me because I wasn't wearing pants. I was wearing boxers and a bathrobe. I sat back down, but the seat was really narrow. There was a small armrest in the center of the couch, and it made my seat tiny. I tried to squeeze in and eventually made it. I made a comment about apparently having a wide butt.
I looked at our fish tank and saw our cat inside it. She was under the water and walking around like it was normal. She moved toward some rocks and poked her face above the water to breathe.

Two police officers, a male sergeant and a female officer, were in a van. They were parked in an alley awaiting the signal to take down a criminal. They had his license plate number and tracked him to this spot.
The sergeant looked over his notes and gave the OK. Some other officers jumped out of another van, and the sarge led them to the criminal. The criminal was just a normal-looking man. He didn't have a weapon, and he didn't fight. But the sarge fired his weapon, and the other officers fired at the man, who died.
The sarge got back in the van, and the female in there told him she thinks he got the wrong guy. Her notes showed a license plate with two letters or numbers transposed from the one they tracked. The sarge knew things were wrong and that he was in big trouble. He tried to over it up. He said she could write the correct license plate number on the bottom of a page of his notepad. That way he said he could have missed it.
Then they were in a restaurant to cool their nerves. But the sarge was too rattled. He ordered some pasta, and the waiter came back with a cheese grater and a block of cheese to put on the pasta. The sarge didn't see a cheese grater. He saw a kitten that was crying as the waiter rubbed cheese on it. His partner told him that wasn't real. He knew it, but he was too shaken up because he killed the wrong man.
Additional Comments:
This is the first dream I've had in a long time where I wasn't in it. It was like I was watching a TV show.
