I was eating with my brother, Zack and some friends and looking at the trees change colors. We were
on a peninsula near the Marblehead Lighthouse. It was across the water from us. I told Zack I wanted
to get pictures of the lighthouse. He laughed and said Ohio didn't have lighthouses. I pointed to it
and told him it was the oldest continually operating lighthouse on the Great Lakes.
I wanted to get a closer look, and I saw a part of land that jutted out into the lake. I figured
that'd be a good place to go. I walked outside and saw that it actually was an island. The waves
were really high and crashing all over the place. I saw a woman ride a bike across the water to the
island, so I figured it was a peninsula, but the waves were covering the low land.
So I walked out on it with Zack and my brother, but a wave swept us out into the lake. It was really
quick, and it didn't rise up much. It was just like a lot of water pushed us. It didn't act like a wave.
We were maybe 200 yards out, so we started swimming back. I thought it was a rip tide. I did a front
crawl stroke. My brother laughed at me and told me I'd go faster if I put my head in the water. He
pushed my head down as I swam. I brought my head back up and kept swimming the way I had been.

I was walking toward the student union on the Mall when I ran into some of my friends. I said hi to
Vanessa, Sarah and Jake. I asked Jake if he wanted to swap bookbags with me for the day. I let him
use my little shoulder strap bag, and he gave me his gigantic 20-pound hiking sack. It was cold
outside, and the trees did not have leaves. I felt like it was ready to snow.
We swapped bags and threw our stuff in the new bags and went our different ways. We came up with a
meeting time and place so we could swap again after our classes were over.
I walked into the union and saw Zack sitting in a chair in the food court. He was sitting in a
corner by a table near a window. I walked up to him, and we started chatting. We caught up on old
times and talked about future movies we should work on.
After a while, a Navajo girl sat at the table next to me. I started making really lewd and obscene
sexual jokes about her. She got up and left. Zack hit me in the head and said that was rude to talk
to Navajos like that. I agreed. Then Doug came by and asked how we knew she was Navajo. We told him
we just knew, and I said I asked her where she was from.
Zack and I kept chatting about movies and being homeless. Jake's bag was really heavy, so I threw it
through a window.
