I have to protect the president

I was in a room with President Obama and some other people. We had a police scanner and heard that there was an explosion. Everyone ran out of the room except the president and me. He said he needed to find the person who caused the explosion because he had to protect the country. There were no Secret Service agents there, so I had to protect him.
We went outside this house, which was in Kayenta. It was where Mr. Wiseman used to live. I told the president I needed a gun to protect him. He said there was an emergency gun in the trash can. There was a plastic trash can next to the sidewalk by the house. I took the lid off but didn't see the gun in the bag (the bag only had two or three small things in it). I pulled the bag off the can and reached below it. I grabbed what felt like a gun and pulled it out.
It wasn't a gun, or at least a gun I recognized. I thought it was a stun gun. There were knobs and switches all over it. I figured it was a stun gun that also could fire bullets. I trusted Obama that it was a gun. We got in a maroon SUV and drove toward the intermediate school. I turned on the radio, which was playing the police scanner. We heard that what caused the explosion was a seal. I laughed that something from the ocean set off some kind of trigger.
Obama still wanted to find the source of the explosion. He didn't trust that it was a seal. We turned a corner and drove toward a gate. An approaching car got to the gate before us and turned in front of us and stopped just to our right. I told Obama to stop so he didn't hit the car, but he didn't. He slowly moved forward, but the SUV scraped the side of the smaller white car.
I rolled down the window so he could show who he was to the people in the car. I figured that would get him a free ride for scratching their vehicle. Plus they drove on our right side and didn't stick to the correct side of the road. But they never opened their window or looked up at us. So I just said to keep driving.
Additional Comments:
There's no ocean anywhere near Kayenta, but knowing that a seal came out of the ocean in my hometown made perfect sense. When I heard that it was a seal, I imagined the ocean just beyond the district boundary to the north.
