On a bus with an ex

I was on either a city transit bus or a bus similar to a Greyhound. I don't know exactly what. But we stopped, and most of the people had gotten out, including the driver. I walked up to the driver's seat (but I didn't sit in it) and started fiddling around with switches and looking at gauges and things. I don't know why.

As I was at the driver's seat, my ex-girlfriend from almost eight years ago, Kristi, walked up to me from the back of the bus. I think she tried to speak to me, but I either ignored her or just didn't say anything. I don't remember much.

Additional Comments:

Usually I dream about my most recent ex. I don't know why Kristi showed up in this dream. We "dated" for about six weeks in 2004.

    Major changes at Cedar Point

I was on a people-mover ride with my brother. It was a small vehicle that only sat two people. We started off at a place I don't remember, but we ended up at Cedar Point. We were traveling around a road on the perimeter, but the place was very different. We passed some trees and got our first glimpse of the park. A train was going up the lift hill on Millennium Force. The train was a different color, and it was only four cars long.

In front of Millennium Force was a similar lift hill with a train also on it. The trains had a red lead car, and the rest of the cars were blue. We continued moving around the perimeter by the lake. There was a fork in the road. My brother wanted me to go right because he saw some other people-mover vehicles go that way. I wanted to go left. I said I was familiar with the place.

But there were RVs and cars on both sides of the two roads. I got confused because it had never been that crowded. The roads only split for a short length. We got back to where they merged, and the place started looking more familiar. There were a lot of additions. It looked like part of Millennium Force was now on this side and was a shuttle coaster. Three of Millennium Force's cars were on this shuttle coaster. It was a simple "U" shape with a vertical loop in the middle. The entire train spun at the top of the "U" and straightened out before the loop.

After that there was a wild mouse coaster. The track was bright orange, and I recognized it as a Maurer Sohne coaster. I was able to reach over the fence and touch the track. We kept going, and we rounded a bend. To the right was the lake, but it was farther away. The beach was much larger. The sun was reflecting off the water, so it was difficult to make anything out, but I did see two large humps in the water. I pointed them out to my brother, and he said they were probably buoys. I thought they were submarines or parts of a ship.

As we continued along the path, I could see Magnum XL-200 in front of us. Finally I felt like I knew where I was. As we turned, there was an employee standing next to the fence. It was my ex-girlfriend. I recognized her from the side, and I opened up a map or brochure and turned around to look at it. She was handing things to people who passed by. My brother noticed her, but we kept going. I never saw her face.

He asked me if that was my girlfriend. I got mad and said, "Ex. Don't forget the prefix." I had to think about the word "prefix." I didn't know if I was using the right word. We continued driving, and I didn't look back at her.

    Carnival, fire escape, ex-girlfriend

I was at work and taking pictures. Hilary was taking pictures of Brittani, but she was adjusting the white balance levels first. I watched how she did it and was impressed that she was able to change the white balance on the fly. All she did was turn a dial, and the screen changed from brown to white. I explained that white balance with my camera was more difficult.

Then Brittani, two of their friends and I were at a carnival. We got on a ride similar to a Zamperla Hawk, except there were four arms, and they weren't parallel. Two of the arms were parallel, but the other two swung perpendicular. It was an interesting setup.

We sat down in the seats, but one of Brittani's friends threw up. She was sitting in one of the seats perpendicular to the one I was in. She got too scared. So we didn't ride. We got off the ride and walked around the midway a little. We walked by some game booths but didn't play.

Then I was in an alley near the carnival. There was a stage show going on in a building next to me. I was with my ex-girlfriend Christy. We entered the building by a side door. We were up on a higher floor, maybe the fourth or fifth. We were in the stairwell and walked down the stairs. We were trying to find the exit. We found a door that led outside, and it was one floor down. But the steps to it were unusual. The staircase narrowed, and the ceiling was lower. We walked down it and opened the door.

When Christy opened the door, a fire alarm sounded. I didn't remember seeing any signs on the door saying it was an emergency exit. The door led to a long staircase with no railing. She just jumped down from the top of the stairs, a 15-foot drop. I ran down most of the stairs and jumped off around the third or fourth step.

We ran through the alley and down the street for a little while until we thought we'd be clear from the area. There was a police car near us, but the officer ignored us. Christy stopped and grabbed a few things from her pockets. One of them was a pair of small, brass horseshoes. She handed them to me and said they were part of our relationship and that she needed to get rid of them because we were broken up. She told me she had so many plans. She even said she was ready for me to be a guest in one of her classes. But it wasn't to be, she said.

I held the horseshoes together and bent one so it wrapped around the other. She stood there and said a few more things about how it couldn't work out, but I don't remember what she said.

    Additional Comments:

I think the only reason Christy showed up in my dream is because she contacted me about six days ago.
