I was at an old mall outlet somewhere, and discovered Alfred Hitchcock had opened a shop. He was alive, and working in it. He showed me a toy rifle that was wooden and painted in primary colors. He said the best thing about it was that if you put your mouth to it like you were killing yourself and breathed in, its insides funneled the air in such a way that it helped you breathe a lot better, and was great for people with breathing problems.

I just have bad sinuses, but this thing made me feel like a kid again, it helped me breathe so well. I came back in the store several times to sample it, and Hitchcock started poking fun at me for how many times I did it.

His store was mostly empty on the inside, except for some boxes and some things at the register, but the front of it was full of things, and interesting. The only things I remember clearly were holograms that you could purchase. You could have a holographic christmas tree that looked real until you noticed it was translucent and you could put your hand through it, or a holographic radio tower about the size of the christmas tree.

I finally offered to buy the toy gun because it helped me breathe so well, and Hitchcock was complaining that he'd been trying to sell it for months. It was expensive for a toy gun; $20, but worth it to me. I took it home to the old house of my childhood and showed it to my mom. She said it was interesting, but didn't trust it because Alfred Hitchcock sold it to me.

At some point I began to dream that I had dreamt all of this because there was an infommercial on about toy guns with previews to a Hitchcock movie on in between. (I don't even actually have a TV in my room.) I was surprised to find though, that I still had the toy gun, as though I had managed to hold on to it from the dream dimension into reality (which of course was still a dream.)

Additional Comments:

I haven't seen a Hitchcock movie in ages. I think it's funny how my mind just pulls these things out of nowhere sometimes.

    Hospital Fire

I was being arrested in my house. I can't remember why. Multiple traffic offenses, I think. I was being immature and belligerent about it, and had to go to jail. The house wasn't my house in real life. It was a strange one I've never seen. I lived in a strange city. The police station was downtown, and I had to go there first to do some paper work before they took me to jail.

It was night time, and there were other offenders in the police station of various sorts. The station was on the 10th or so floor of a skyscraper in the downtown of the city. The street-facing wall was made of glass, so you could see inside the building across the street, which also had a glass wall on its 10th floor. The building across the street was a hospital. We were looking into one of its main offices.

While we were waiting late into the night to finish our paper work, someone noticed that this hospital office we could see into across the street had caught fire. Patients inside were being moved into the room as the flames surrouned everyone. After a few minutes, we could see patients being engulfed in flames. Then we saw a priest say a prayer facing us, just before he threw himself into the fire to get his death over with, as there was no escape.

Then we saw a cop who was there trying to save people make the decision to kill himself as well. I stopped watching after he shot himself, but one of the guys I was with told me that the cop had had to shoot himself four times before he died.

I wanted to use my one phone call to tell someone what was happening, but our building was on lock-down while fire trucks and rescue squads down below tried to save people. I felt horrified, traumatized, nauseous. I felt like I was going to throw up. A guy next to me started crying and carrying on, and I told him if he didn't stop I was going to hit him, because I couldn't take anymore at the moment. I couldn't absorb anymore and I just wanted to shut it all out until I could stand to think about it.

    Additional Comments:

I saw a movie last night where a girl set herself on fire, but that's the only real-life inspiration I can think of. This dream felt very real. It took me a few moments after I woke up to realize that it wasn't.

    Three Dreams Before Ditching Work

I was at my grandfather's house, who's been dead for nearly a decade. I'd been walking around and noticing my foot was in pain. When I took my sock off, it appeared that some sort of fungus had eaten its way diagonally in a straight line through the bottom of my foot, from my pinky toe all the way to my heal. Ew.

I needed my grandad to take me to the ER, but he was busy making and bottling fruit juice with a machine he had in his house (which he did not really have in his house.) He seemed concerned about my foot, but distracted. The phone rang and it was for me, so he handed it to me. A person connected to my work who I had hired to find me a good deal on a house had found one. She seemed irritated when I couldn't talk because of my foot situation, and I felt like I'd messed up the deal.

I was suddenly walking through the woods with my sister, and telling her it really sucked to be walking with my foot like it was. I showed her the damage, and she was like, ew, we need to get you to the ER! By the time we got home though, it didn't look as bad, which made me wonder if the people at the hospital would even take me seriously.

    . . .

In the second dream I remember, I was at a party at my other grandparents' house. I had on pale blue pants, a pink shirt, and my hair was dyed lavendar. I liked how I looked, but was a little worried about being able to get the dye out before I had to go to work the next day. Jeff said he liked how I looked, even though he prefered a natural hair color.

    . . .

In the third dream, I was at my old house, and I was failing school. I had English literature and math to majorly catch up on if I even hoped to pass my classes. I decided to stay up all night reading, and to skip school the next day and just sleep all day. My dad said that would be fine with him, as long as I did his laundry for him, so I did. My hair was still a bit lavendar from the last dream, and I thought that taking a day off would also give my hair time to get more back to normal before I went back to school.

    Additional Comments:

When I woke up, I randomly decided to take the day off of work. I just didn't feel like going. The first thing I did was read a book out on my roof, and I didn't really care who noticed.
