vertigo on an obstacle slide

I was outdoors and there were a bunch of people all around me. We were all doing some sort of obstacle course, perhaps by force. It was a complex course, but I can only remember one part vividly. Everyone was seemingly on a conveyor belt, and we were being lifted up a long incline in single file form (It reminded me of the initial lift on a roller coaster, except that we were standing in line). The top of this lift was very high up, and whenever we got to the top, the conveyor belt stopped. The overall shape of the structure was like a playground slide, with the belt going up the slide. At the top of the slide, there was a shaky rope ladder that we were expected to climb down. We had to grab the rope ladder as soon as we got to the top or we would fall to our death. I was very worried about losing my grip while climbing down the ladder, so I put my arm over the rungs as I went down, bending my elbow around each step. After doing the course a couple of times, somebody behind me pointed out a long leather strap that ran down beside the rope ladder. This strap was meant to be an extra security measure for climbers to hold on to, preventing people from falling. I was angry that I hadn't noticed it before.Additional Comments:
This dream was recorded at 11:04 am. One of my earliest nightmares in my youth was falling off of a tall slide. I am afraid of heights and get vertigo easily.
