difficulty seeing things

Date of dream: Friday, May 04, 2007

I was having a lot of difficulty seeing throughout the whole dream. I was at school part of the time, and was getting in trouble with my teachers because I couldn't see things properly and couldn't keep my eyes open. (it felt like I had just woken up and was trying to read fine print). I got an F on one of my assignments because my teacher (Mannix) said I was too opinionated in the paper and didn't support my claims enough.

    making a charcoal drawing

I decided to make a charcoal drawing for Katrina on a big sheet of paper. I decided I was going to make it in the basement, but I was also in the studio addition working on it. She had made me a similar drawing, and I wanted to return the favor. My parents were going to bed whenever I had just started the drawing, and I was going to stay up all night working on it. I was using purple and green. I made some sort of word and wanted to draw the planet earth. I outlined the continents and ocean and was going to color the earth first. I accidentally started to color the water green instead of blue. I planned to color over it and make the land green.

I had the drawing hanging off of a small step stool using black metal clips. My parents saw me working on it and they thought that I was hanging it up so that I could rotate it while I was working on it and draw on both sides. I corrected them and told them that I was just trying to secure the drawing.

In another part, I saw my sisters shoes in the basement in our house in Evansville. She was staying in her old bedroom in Evansville.

    bizarre concert

I was at a concert of some sort. There were four people in the band, and I was sitting in the front row. Eventually, the concert was ending and they were going to do one last song. They brought a bunch of people out on stage for the last song (this is where things start getting weird). I remember seeing a guy dressed in black and all gothed out. One of the people on stage was asking the audience for beanbags. I looked underneath my chair and found my black beanbag. I gave it to the guy, but worried that I might not get it back after the show. They set my beanbag with a few other beanbags at the back right side of the stage. They started performing their song, and everyone started moving and doing their part for the show. A person who looked like "Sponge Harris"

The nerdy kid in the front left from the old TV show "Salute your Shorts" was also there. He kept moving from the beanbag section of the stage to the front of the stage where I was sitting. In front of me was another person who was facing me. Sponge Harris was carrying a really long pencil with a large (2' X 2') piece of paper on it. He would come up to the person who was standing in front of me, stab the pencil between the persons arm and chest in the gap where their armpit was, leave the piece of paper there, and then go back to the beanbag seats. He would repeat this same procedure as the song played, getting more paper, mark or draw or paint or whatever he did to it, and bring it over to the man who was in front of me, stabbing the gap under his arm to remove the paper. It was almost like he was a robot following a pre-determined path on a track. The path was curved evenly and ran from stage right to the front center of the stage where I was. I awoke from this dream feeling very confused. I had trouble remembering this dream, and then I had trouble making sense of what had happened because it was all very strange. It had fairly low cohesion at most parts, and it seems like the dream kept repeating itself, just like the actions of Sponge Harris repeated themselves. Upon further thought, I don't even think there were any instruments on the stage, just bean bags and maybe a table or two. I don't know if there was even much audible music.

    Additional Comments:

Last night I entered a couple of old dreams concerning a stage and a concert that I was singing in. I also talked about miniture train sets, which might be why I dreamed of Sponge moving on a track.
