horse-skiing

I am going skiing at a place like Paoli. The first part of the dream I am riding the lift down the hill, instead of up. The lift is moving very slowly and I can see people and vehicles below going much faster. Someone is next to me and they comment on how they hate how slow the lift moves, but I tell them that I enjoy this part as it is relaxing. Later I am back at the top of the hill and am suited up with a horse. I guess that this is a new form of skiing done on horseback. I have padding on and am trying to control the horse. I try to get off the horse temporarily but I do so by sliding down off of his head. This pulls the bit out of the horses mouth and I carefully put it back with fears that the horse will injure me. I look for a place to tie the horse off at while I run inside the ski lodge. When I come back, I find that the horse is gone and I am quite upset. I meet an old woman who runs the ticket booth and reminds me of Jane. She is trying to sell season passes for the ski place "under the table" for a really discounted price ($98). I am interested, but want to make sure that this season pass includes ski rental as well as lift tickets. She makes a comment on how the only people who take advantage of this deal are from the surrounding counties, and I tell her I am from Monroe. I think I end up passing up the season pass. At one point I get to ski normally (without horse) down the slope and I have a great time zipping past all of the people and gliding across the snow.

Additional Comments:

It snowed last night.

I was driving through Amish Country with a guy who may have been pDB. He was trying to get me to sit in a wicker chair that was lightly strapped to the top of the horse-drawn carriage instead of in the normal seats. I thought this was too dangerous and that he was trying to mislead me. I refused.
