I am in Australlia with a number of people. We have just arrived and I find myself on a beach at night. I start running down the beach as fast as I can along with some of the people (classmates?) who are with me. The running is effortless and I am surprised at how little fatigue I feel. We see a building along the beach and pop in to find a pub. People in the pub are talking with an accent and I listen to how unique it sounds. There are brown paper bags full of random items for sale along the shelves, most for about $2. I look at this for awhile and think about buying some things.
The scene changes and I am in the woods in BC. I am outside of a large power plant at night and am hiding and sneaking around. I am with my old friend WT and we are planning to break into a commune compound where we know people are being mistreated. We break into one building (similar to my parents basement) and find MO, who is lonely and abused. I take sympathy on her and give her what she is longing for, just for a very brief moment. I am concerned about getting caught by her husband or someone else.

I feel as if I am a freshman in college again and I am in honors physics class. Part of the dreaming is hearing lectures, and the other part I am trying to get to the 4th floor of the building I am in. I am walking through rows of books and isles of information in some sort of a library. My only thought is to get to the 4th floor, so I ignore all of the books. I find a spiral staircase and start to climb it, However, there is another staircase positioned so that it is impossible to climb the staircase because the gap between the two double-helix staircases is too small. I try to squeeze through but eventually decide that I need to find a different way. Sometimes it seems like the staircase is blocked by a horizontal level walkway, but I am never able to make it to the 4th floor. Fairly stressful dream.
Additional Comments:
going through some contemplative times in my life and I feel that this dream is very symbolic. I think it has helped to give me some insight into situations and dilemmas.

I am riding in an SUV with Kirsten Sanford and Justin Jackson of the This Week In Science (TWIS) podcast. I'm in the back seat, while Kiki (Kirsten) is driving and Justin is in the passengers seat. Presumably for the show, we are testing our survival abilities by driving the SUV at a high rate of speed into an indoor man-made channel. There was supposed to be a drawbridge across the channel, but we intentionally avoided it to test our survival skills. I have my camera and am trying to take video but I don't realize when we are taking the plunge. Suddenly the ground drops away and the SUV plummets into the water. It is very intense, but I keep my calm and tell them that the first thing to do is open the windows, before the electrical shorts out or before the water pressure gets too great to open them. They heed my advice and we are able to escape the SUV before it sinks and we drown. The channel that we crashed into also seems to be a train or subway station of some sort. There are people waiting for the train and I worry that we might be in the path of the train. One woman in-particular is staring at me and looks very interested.
Additional Comments:
I watched a show last night about training for oil-rig workers where they simulate a helicopter crash into water and teach people how to survive without drowning. I borrowed knowledge from that show and applied it to a motor-vehicle, adding the part about electrical windows shorting out.
