A young mother has literature around her house about coping with illness.  I realize she is a breast cancer survivor (there was more plot to this dream story, I just can't remember it now).

After a shift, I'm watching some very dark ladybugs swarm on the corner of a screen door.

 I'm in a house that seems to be across the street from where we lived in B___, California. Suddenly aware that I'm dreaming, I put my hands up to a screened sliding glass window and they pass right through it.

I step the rest of the way through to the outside. It's nighttime. I look up at a group of four or five stars and decide to fly to them. I point my hands at them, but nothing happens. I remember that I want to be more passive in a dream and see where the dream will take me.

Instantly, I'm sitting on an invisible stool and flying rapidly up towards the stars. The stool, with me on it, begins spinning very fast.

I savor the moment of a lucid dream that seemed to go completely right ... and the giddy sensation of spinning. These are the things that a lucid dream is all about!
