The name "Caie Raiety Paie" flashes through my head and I wake up. I can remember exactly how it was spelled for some strange reason (a google search turned up nothing for this, except a misspelling of the word "gaiety").
(record, fall back to sleep)
I'm swimming in a lake with my two nephews, M_____ and A_____, in a lake. I think there are leeches swimming up against my legs, so I warn them. They don't care, though, and go into even deeper water. Then I discover it's actually large fish brushing up against me, and I'm not as scared.
But I get out anyway by some steps that lead to a patio area -- a wind turbine is there, too, its rotors turning in the breeze.

(wake up, record, fall back to sleep)
My pastel, dusky blue (dream) car needs more work at the garage, so they say they'll let me have a loaner. As I'm going out to a similar-looking car that's exactly the same color, I realize I don't have my wallet and I start to panic. But then I calm myself down by telling myself it must be back at the house.
I wake up.

I was out on the Common that's in fromt of my condo in real life. Â But it was
all different...the west side of it was intersected by a whole bunch of
streets. Â I was driving on one of these when a young woman in another car banged
into mine. Â We got out to exchange insurance information. Â But she was all
confused and started writing down her email address instead. Â As I puzzled over
this, I noticed that there was an abundance of green, leafy plants alongside
these streets.
I woke up, ate breakfast and went back to sleep.
I found myself waking up in a basement bedroom. Â I immediately recognized it
as being in a house that I had lived in as a child, and had been very fond of
(false memory: Â now that I'm awake, this house seems completely unfamiliar to
me). Â It occurred to me that I might be dreaming. Â But as I got up and began
making my way to the bedroom door, I noticed the room was messy and there was
junk on the floor I had to kick aside. Â Even though my feet felt kind of funny
and light, I decided this must be the real world and not a dream after all.
However, I couldn't figure out how I had come to be at this house.
Out in the hallway, I took a right into what I knew to be my sister's
bedroom. Â There was a bunk bed in there now, and a large single bed. Â All three
looked like they had just been slept in, but whoever had been there was now gone.
I went back out to the hallway and up some stairs at the far end. Â I ended up
in the dining room looking into the kitchen, over a bar that formed kind of
an island between the two rooms. Â There were two women in the kitchen.
"Oh, it's K__ L__ and K__ V__!" I exclaimed (the first was a friend of mine
from college, and the second was a friend of mine from my brother's class in
high school...the second died of diabetes some years ago). Â Both of them just
stared at me blankly, though. Â And somehow K.V. did not really look the way I
remembered her.
"What's wrong...you're not saying anything," I said.
For a brief moment, both their faces crumpled up in a way that was distinctly
non-human. Â Then they returned to the same expressionless look. Â All I could
think of was that something bad must have been up.
Suddenly they both began to morph before my very eyes into these huge,
headless *mouths* with rows of teeth running around their edges. Â K.L.'s mouth
reached out toward my stomach, and K.V.'s mouth was right behind.
I was terrified. Â *They're going to eat me,* I think panic-stricken. Â Then it
occurs to me...this IS a dream, and all I have to do is wake up. Â Right as
the giant mouth that used to be K.L. made contact with my stomach, I shook my
head hard and woke up.
But it was still too early to get up. Â I fell back asleep, and found myself
in a dream with my two nephews. Â We were at some house that isn't familiar to
me now that I'm awake. Â There were things the grown-ups wanted to move from one
room to another. Â However, I seemed to be very out of it and was unable to
help them. I woke up.
