I was supposed to bring a dalmatian's hide to the dry cleaners for cleaning near my home (IRL there is such a place). But, oddly, the cleaner's shop is part of a local historic house that tourists go to. Once inside, the hide turns back into the poor dalmatian puppy it came from, and a very adorable one at that. I watch the puppy cavort around, being its puppy self, and wish I could have a dog again.
But the owner of the dry cleaning business is kind of calloused about the whole thing. He doesn't think I should ask to have permission to have a dog again. He points out that dogs need food and water ... I will have to leave the "gate" open so that someone can help me care for the puppy. Finally, the owner of the dry cleaning business kind of shrugs and says that maybe it's OK if I get a puppy. I realize that even though he's a jerk, it doesn't matter ... I can now have a dog!

There's a pool where some kind of competition is going on. My new step-niece, J___, is competing. I'm busy watching these funny
little creatures clamber in and out of a terrarium. They have clothes on, but are only as big as a duck. They also have green, webbed
feet but their faces look a little human (even though they're green, too).
(shift) My sister-in-law, D___, calls me on my cell phone. She says she got stranded up on something that's very high up and she's
almost embarrassed to tell me exactly what it is. I look around. I'm between two one-story houses, and I see a ladder that looks
like it fell over onto the ground. I look to the roof above it, expecting to see her there -- but there is no one on the roof.
"Did your ladder fall over -- are you somewhere up on a roof?" I ask her, puzzled.
"No-oo...," she replies. "Umh...look a little higher."
I turn and look at a nearby mountain. On top of it is a huge radio tower that's hundreds of feet tall. There, on a platform near the tip
of it, I see her. I wave and her tiny form waves back.
A dog runs up to me. It's white and black with short hair that's very velvet-like. I pat it and wonder if it's a Dalmatian -- but it looks
more like the shape of a terrier.
(shift) I'm on some kind of ride at Disney World with my family. My two nephews, M____ and A_____, get on the boat that's before
mine.
I wake up, eat breakfast and go back to sleep.
My mind is fading in and out. I realize that something is seriously wrong with me (it doesn't occur to me that this is another one of
my recurring brain-impaired dreams). I leave an oil painting I'm working on by a hotel entrance at the base of a green shrub. I have
used large dollops of paint to create it, and it is still very wet.
I change my mind and bring it with me. I follow my family and their friends down the hotel hallway. I'm really not feeling well.
We go to get in a small station wagon. I don't seem to realize that there are too many of us to all fit in this small vehicle. My
brother, D___, and his wife and her daughter will have to lie down in the back where there is simply a flat surface with a little carpet
on it. It looks like I will have to do so, too. So now I'm feeling extreme claustrophobia as well as the effects of a brain that wasn't
working well.
"I'm going to take Mom back to the hotel and just stay with her there...I'm not feeling well," I say.
I wake up.
