It's my mom's birthday. We're all outside near a lot of cars and are trying to celebrate it there.
The dream shifts so that we're saying goodbye to L___'s spirit (she died IRL some years ago). I'm crying and I say, "Bye L___!" as I walk away.
But she's already in some other state, for she's looking in another direction and seems in a trance.
(shift) I'm shopping with Mom, Dad, and my siblings. We stop at the house because I need to get my keys. I can't find them (but the house is one I'm only familiar with in the dream, I've never seen it in real life), so I go in the back yard.
A coworker's husband, G____, is there and I recall talking to him in an earlier part of the dream (that part is now forgotten). He tells me he's traveling with his younger son on the road -- they're living out of the car.
I'm shocked -- I work with his wife, L___, and she didn't mention anything about this to us. I ask him if the other son is still at home with L___.
Someone says, "Look at that sky!" I see dark storm clouds racing in and a wind kicks up. I need to get back to my family, so I try to go back through the house. But now I realize I've fallen asleep ... however, I think my real life waking state is being back in the car with my family from the earlier part of the dream.
So I shake my head to wake up and discover that I'm in my bed in real life.
I see that I also woke up sometime during the night and wrote the words, "walking through the wolf woods" on my bedside pad, but don't recall doing it.
