Daytime and I find myself in America I’ve been walking alone along a dusty road through what feels like the Wild West plains or a prairie, I can see that I am approaching the outskirts of a modern town or small city.

Just as I get to the threshold of the county line I see a tall sign similar to a circular traffic sign which has a symbolic black pinball machine icon displayed on it with a thick red line struck diagonally through it. Apparently the game of pinball is prohibited in this town and any thoughts of playing this game have to be relinquished and left behind before crossing the frontier.

Although I like the game of pinball having to give it up seems like a small sacrifice to make in order to be able to enter the town so I clear my mind of all thoughts to do with pinball and cross the city border and head on into the town feeling very positive.

Additional Comments:

Thoughts: Pinball tables are something of a recurring symbol for me from time to time, this little dream made me feel quite positive particularly the feeling of leaving something behind in order to make forward progress. Dream 1: Hot spiritual oil – I find myself in an unfamiliar bathroom where my little sister has filled the sink with a mysterious looking golden coloured oil, the liquid has a very mystical spiritual aura and is infused with herbs and other exotic ingredients, the potion looks like the kind of hot oil that a lady might use as a special treatment on her hair. My sister explains to me that this is a special all over body oil that she is going to use to anoint our Mum, she goes on to say that once the oil has been massaged in it is set alight to complete the ceremony, it would appear that my Mum has been prepared as if she were a giant incense cone. I panic and feel terrified at this thought as it sounds very dangerous and injurious but my sister just smiles and tells me not to worry as no harm will come to Mum. I gaze back over to the bathroom washbasin and see that it is literally full to overflowing with the magical glistening glittery gold oil, the droplets that run over the side and underneath the basin start to drip to the floor, seeing the droplets about to drip to the floor strikes me as profoundly symbolic and important I stand there gazing at the basin for some dream moments.

It is a pleasant day and my wife and I have just come back from a trip to town where we browsed around the shops. As we get back to the house I see the builder working away that we had left to do some renovation work on the entrance to the house.

My wife and I are both in a good mood and feel high spirited after a nice day out, and when I see how the builder has progressed I feel even happier. I go over to the builder and see that he has completely removed an exterior wall that surrounded the house and is now doing something to the wall that divides the neighbours from us.

I go over and see that he has removed a lot of wiry tough tentacle like roots that had forced themselves through the from the neighbours side to ours. The roots seem to have come under the wall, over it and pushed through small cracks in the centre too.

The builder has virtually gotten rid of all of the roots so I pick up a pair of small garden shears and help him to cut away the last of the roots. The roots are very tough and rubbery, at first they give a bit of resistance but they aren’t too difficult to get rid of.

I feel really happy and positive that all of the roots have nearly gone but am a little taken a back when my wife comes over to see the work that we have done. I thought that she should be impressed and happy but instead she seems agitated and upset and says that we should have left it as it was.

I can’t think why she would be so upset as the roots were a nuisance and completely out of control. The only thing that I can think of is that by cutting the roots on our side the neighbours plants will suffer or even die because of our actions.
