It is daytime and I am walking alone alongside a busy motorway (Freeway), I’m heading over to a petrol filling station in order to get a snack to eat. I feel a bit low or blue as I trudge over to the place.

I get inside the gas station and see that it is empty save for the attendant at the paying counter, I rummage around in a refrigerator at the rear of the shop as the attendant chats casually with me.

I want to find a yoghurt but I can’t find one that appeals to me, eventually after much hunting around I uncover one that I like (strawberry with chocolate pieces), I take the yoghurt and head over to the counter in order to pay.

Suddenly the shop is completely full of people who have all barged in front of me, the attendant appears to be busy serving but he knows that I am to be served next.

A man in his late 50’s early 60’s walks over to me and recommends that I buy a lottery ticket. I move closer to the counter and the assistant sees me, he comes directly to me even though there is a huge crowd of people all clamouring for his attention so that they can be served first.

The fact that the shop assistant knew that I was next in line and has respected my turn makes me very happy, I pay for the yoghurt and ask for a lottery ticket at the same time.

The assistant hands me the ticket and I see that the numbers read 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. I think to myself that is so weird and that I have a really low or unlikely chance of winning with such an odd set of numbers.

The man who recommended that I buy a ticket comes back over to chat with me and asks me what the results were for last week’s lottery. I turn my ticket over and see that only one person won last week and took £1,114,070.00 in winnings (the prize number was unusually clear!).

The man then leaves through the front door and crosses the very busy motorway, he does this very sprightly and nimbly much to my surprise. I follow him out of the shop and try to follow behind him.

I realise that crossing the busy motorway whilst trying to avoid the very fast traffic is not at all easy but some how I manage to dodge the vehicles and make it to safety. I don’t appear to have been able to keep up with or even catch up with the other man though who appears to be some way off ahead of me.

It is daytime and I am stood in a churchyard in my childhood hometown. I walk around the immense church (it is not this big in reality). I walk around the church from the front to the rear in a clockwise direction. I appear to be waiting for a friend to come out from inside the church. As I walk I eat some kind of fast food snack like a burger or sandwich.

As I walk around to the rear of the church I look at the huge stones that the church has been built from, they are perfectly oblong with sharp edges and very flat. They are also very dark, I can’t tell whether this darkness is dirt or just the colour of the stone but its appearance is very negative and gives me the creeps.

I get around to the back door of the church where I expected the friend to come from only to here him call me from the front of the church. I drop or discard my snack on the floor and hurry around to meet him.

I seem him and am surprised to see it is a young man that used to go to the same primary school as me, he was a few years older than me and I never really new him. (In reality I only vaguely new this person but it was well known that his family was extremely pious and heavily into religion. All of the family members were expected to follow some religious path).

He beckons me over to his old car and I get into the passenger seat. We drive off steadily and her starts to tell me about his sister (this was a girl only one or two years older than me). He goes on to tell me that because she had some much pressure put on her to be religious and that she was being forced and moulded into something that she wasn’t, it ended up having the opposite effect.

I see a picture in my minds eye of her now and she has become a real wild child, she seems to have really rebelled against her religious upbringing and family. She now lives a life of debauchery fuelled by endless parties, drug taking and overt sexual promiscuity. These extremes seem to have changed her completely, she seems to be happy but I sense that the whole story to is a sad one.

We stop the car and I show some snap shots of my childhood home to the old school friend. I flick through the pictures but only see small castles where my house should have been. I become very emotional and panic, I begin to cry because I can’t find the picture I wanted to of my childhood home.
