I am doing some construction work on a very large property and I have undertaken this huge task by
myself with the assistance of one or two specialised manual workers. I find myself in one of the empty
shells that will later become one of the rooms. I am meticulously studying a large set of plans with one
or two other men, I feel as if I am the boss and coordinator.
The work is extremely exhausting and tiring but I take satisfaction from the fact that one day the house
will be finished and the best part of the work will have been done by my own hand. I walk around the
numerous empty rooms of the enormous building admiring my handiwork and feeling satisfied with the
progress that I have made.
Much later (possibly in the future) I find myself in a kitchen like living room with an old college friend
and his girlfriend. They tell me that it’s great that I have nearly finished the property as they will be
able to move in soon. I’m completely gob smacked and shocked, as I don’t understand where they are
coming from with what they said.
I start to become quite angry and upset and I demand to know what is going on. They tell me in a
matter of fact kind of way oblivious to my temper that I actually agreed to this and promised them the
entire upper second floor on completion of the property. I can’t recall ever having done anything of the
sort and confusion starts to take over from my anger.
My old college friend pulls out some papers to show me he says, “Look, see we even made a contract
and signed it and everything”. I feel totally bewildered and almost cheated, why would I have gone
through so much back breaking work only to hand over half of the house to somebody else? The paper
work is legitimate though so I guess I really must have agreed to this?
My friends wife can see that I’m a bit distressed and shaken by this discovery she tries to settle me and
beckons me over to the kitchen table where I see that she has a large spread of food all laid out. She
appears to have spent the entire day cooking, unusually all of her food seems to consist of seafood and
only pink seafood at that.
I see a selection of cooked salmon, prawns, lobster and pink squid and octopus all arranged on serving
trays and dishes. Oddly the food has had melted cheese poured all over the top of it. This strange
cheesy sauce strikes me as a little peculiar (even in the dream) but it also looks quite appetising and
flavoursome too.

It is daytime and I find myself at a very large house out in a beautiful part of the countryside. The
house is an existing property that we are renovating, it is situated on the side of a hill, the house is
surrounded by a small forest with an open view own the hillside at the front.
The house has many rooms and the more that I walk around it the more rooms that I discover. I think
as I look at the rooms what to do with them and what they might be used for when we have finished. I
consider drawing up some plans to help get these ideas put down on paper so that I will have a future
reference.
I walk around one large room that shows a lot of promise, the previous owner has let it run into
disrepair though. I will need to put a new ceiling and a new floor in and remove some very large thick
cast iron stanchions.
After a while of surveying the house and trying to make plans for how to utilise the rooms my wife and
I go upstairs to one of the bedrooms and have sex. The decision is kind of spur of the moment and the
experience is very sensual, exciting and physical (very tactile sensations for a dream too).
Afterwards we go back downstairs and carry on with our plans for the house.
Later that day my mum and step dad and perhaps my little sister come over to visit and see how our
new house is coming along, they may have a few other family members with them too.
After a quick tour of the house I walk them over to the hillside to show them the view. Looking down
about a mile or so away I see a small country road passing through the fields of wheat. I recognise
where I am suddenly, it is a location halfway between my childhood hometown and school.
My stepfather seems to be interested in a very old large stately home on the other side of the road.
The building is made from golden honey coloured Cotswold stone, the building appears to be medieval.
The building is open to the public on certain days and I tell him that we can down and have a look
around if he likes.
I walk down the hillside through the fields with my stepfather and perhaps my mum and the rest of the
family too (although they remain pretty much in the background). We walk through the grounds of the
stately manor house admiring its presence. We carry on around to the rear of the building where we
see what appears to a small graveyard with lots of tall grey stone mausoleums and crypts.
The huge stone tombs appear to be very old and are covered in lichens and moss. Suddenly what feels
like a gust of wind rushes through in between the huge stone tombs, I realise that this isn’t the wind but
is in fact a spirit.
The spirit is invisible and doesn’t speak, it also seems to be benign and almost friendly, I sense that it
wants to show me something. The windy spirit rushes past once more and with a powerful gust knocks
away one of the supporting walls of the tomb, the stone crashes to the ground leaving the large cavity
inside exposed and open.
I look inside the crypt and see many coffins some of which are wooden and some are stone. Each coffin
appears to be that of a man of the church particularly a bishop. On each tomb is a carving of the bishop
that is resting within the casket.
I look at the various bishops and see that the have their arms crossed upon the chest underneath which
they are clasping or holding a kind of religious rod or baton. This baton is different in that it is made
from solid gold. I am tempted to take or salvage the golden rod as I think that it could have some
value but in the end I decide against it.
As I look around the tomb I see other much smaller coffins placed in the cramped tomb too. These tiny
caskets are puzzling, as they appear to be way too small even for a baby? I ponder and think that the
little coffins might contain foetuses, as I cannot imagine what else would fit into such a tiny space?
