How to go about insulating a roof properly.
Level of Lucidity: N/A Level of Cohesiveness:

I find myself up in the loft of a (dream) house, the area is completely empty all I can see are the rafters and roof beams. I am here with my wife and another young woman who would appear to be a dream friend. We are discussing how to go about insulating the roof and making it look tidier. My wife opts for a quick and lazy approach to the job and suggests putting the insulating fibre directly over the top of the old material and wood and then just boarding it all up. I on the other hand want to completely remove all of the old material, inspect the roof space and start again from fresh.
I can see that the old roofing materials have gotten slightly damp, I can make out some mould starting to appear. It seems pointless just covering this up so I try to explain my reasoning by doing everything properly from scratch. We get into a bit of an argument about whose idea is right or valid, I feel very frustrated.
The conversation might have gone my way but we don’t seem to have reached an agreement and there is a kind of silent stalemate. I go down the stairs and into the kitchen (I suddenly realise that this is in fact my grandmothers house or kitchen at least). I sit down at the table and have a hot drink and chat with the other dream woman.
