Chicken isn’t the same as eggs.

It is daytime and I find myself in a self-service canteen come restaurant. Three African-American guys and one white woman accompany me, they all appear to be (dream) friends of mine or colleagues.

We are all walking through the quite busy self-service section selecting the foods that we want to eat as part of our meal, the group of four all walk just ahead of me as I follow behind.

It seems that the three guys had wanted to pick up some de-shelled boiled eggs to have with their meal, but they have already walked on past the area where the eggs were displayed.

They call out to me and ask if I wouldn’t mind passing them a few of the boiled eggs. Its no problem for me as the eggs are just to my left, I lean back and pick up a piece of roast chicken (a part of the breast or a leg).

I pass the piece of roast chicken to one of the guys. All four of them look at me bewildered as I if I have gone a bit potty, they all say something along the lines of “Hey! We asked for eggs not chicken!”

I seem to realise what I did wrong and lean back to pick up the eggs. Again I pick up a piece of roast chicken and hand it to one of the guys. This time they all look at me silently as if I have got some kind of problem.

I realise what I keep doing is wrong but I can’t seem to differentiate between the chicken and eggs in the dream. I feel kind of stupid and a little mad but I simply cannot tell the difference between the chicken and the eggs once it is in my hand?

Additional Comments:

Bizarrely, I really couldn’t tell the difference between the roast chicken and the eggs in this dream?

This dream has been viewed 4011 times.

It is daytime and I find myself out on a huge playing field very reminiscent of the one at my secondary school used for sport etc. All of the office equipment including tables and chairs are spread out over the field just as if it were the actual inside of an office, except here of course everything is outdoors.

I am in the process of positioning my chair and desk in place where I feel comfortable in the field. I find one spot where I look down and see a piece of chocolate on the ground, it catches my eye and I decide that I’ll sit here.

It is then that I notice a small clump of seaweed next to the chocolate I see that it has lots of flies buzzing around it. The scene with the flies revolts me a bit and puts me of setting up my chair and desk here.

I move off and set-up elsewhere, I walk over to a tray which is full of paper work, I take half of the pile which is a good 9 or 10 inches thick and very heavy and go back to my desk to get stuck into it. I don’t feel to resentful of having to do the work and in fact feel more than capable of doing the work, I feel a mix of contentment and motivation.

I get up from my desk briefly and walk over to a self-service display box that is full of small padded motorcycle seats. Apparently these cushioned seats are for members of staff who want to make their chairs more comfortable, I take a small red sports seat from a Ducati and head back to my desk.

As I sit at my desk I see two managers speaking amongst themselves, they speak in a language I can’t understand in order to keep their conversation private. It appears that one member of staff has been sacked not long ago and another has just this moment been fired from his job.

I watch as the colleague who has been told to leave drives a Citroen 2cv across the playing field, the car looks a little funny and quirky, I see that the colleague doesn’t look very happy and seems annoyed (in reality this person actually left work of his own free will to go and work elsewhere).

After a while of working I take a break and am invited by a small group of people to go and play soccer in a forest. I recognise a female work colleague in the group, the leader of the group strikes me as being a little eccentric or bizarre.

The leader of the group is roughly my age, he seems to have moments where he is very confident and sure of himself and then this seems to slip and he becomes confused and less confident.

We get to the forest where the group starts to kick the football about, it becomes immediately apparent to me that this is not a great place to be playing football as the forest is very hilly with lots of steep slopes and trees everywhere. I decide to not join in and after a while I sense that the others realise that it wasn’t such a good idea either.

We all gather around together and sit down on some logs in the forest to chat and talk together. The topic appears to be tennis, we all start discussing the tennis player Bjorn Borg we all say how good a technician he was and how he really changed the face of the sport.

The leader of the group goes on to add that he was a great “Equipmentician” the word kind of makes me smile as I have never heard it before, I imagine that he meant to say technician. But I then see a picture of Bjorn on the tennis court, he is sat down taking a break and appears to be taking care of his racket.

I watch as Bjorn uses a tool to correct the tension on the strings, he does a lot of checking etc. Now I see what the leader of our group meant by “Equipmentician” it means somebody who takes care of their equipment in a very thorough manner.

Apparently according to a discussion Bjorn was the first player to start off this trend and many future players have copied his style and techniques.

    Additional Comments:

The tennis conversation was very interesting (although in reality I have no real interest in the sport) particularly the mention of the word “Equipmentician” even after I had woken up it kind of made me smile a bit to think of it!
