The deceptive lagoon.

It is daytime and the weather is extremely fine and sunny, I am with a group of people both men and women of different ages. We all seem to share a common bond together, its almost as if we are a team all out questing together, the bond is very strong and we all love one another even though we aren’t directly related.

We have been travelling across some very rocky dusty terrain in a hot arid country with little vegetation about. We arrive and come to a halt at a large craggy cliff face. I peer down over the edge and see a good drop of maybe 10 or 15 metres below me down to a beautiful lagoon with clear water giving a lucid view on the pebble and rock lake bed.

It is a truly beautiful sight with water falls and green vegetation growing here and there, it is a veritable oasis. All of my friends rush up behind me and peer over the edge too, they all stare down at disbelief and awe at the refreshing sight. All of my friends begin to strip off out of their clothes readying themselves for a swim.

I watch as some of my naked friends leap down off the top of the cliff into the water below. I’m a little concerned that some of them will hurt themselves on some of the rocks in the water, I guess I’m worried that the water isn’t as deep as it appears. I watch as a portly man leaps in, he doesn’t touch the rocks and I am relieved.

I see everyone having so much fun all laughing and joking together, I decide that I’m going to join them I strip off out of my clothes too and with a little hesitation leap off the craggy cliff into the water below. My immediate response is that it is thrilling, wonderful and such a pleasure to be doing this it gives a feeling of real freedom.

I gaze down through the clear water at the pebbles on the bed of the lagoon, I suddenly see something that unsettles me lying amongst the rocks. I lean down closer for a better look and see a strange tadpole like creature with a bulbous body or head and a long thin whip like tail.

The creature has a black body with a small irregular sage green spots, the creature immediately causes me a lot of discomfort as I watch it slowly holding itself in place under the water by slowly wriggling its tail. I instantly realise that it is some kind of horrible parasite and if there is one then there must be more of them in the lagoon.

I shout out to everyone telling them all to get out of the water, they all look at me startled wondering what on earth the matter is. They all heed my advice even though they don’t know what the danger is (our strong bond seems to be based a lot on empathy and trust, it’s a very nice feeling to be with people like this).

We all clamber out of the large pool of water and onto some rocks, I take a moment to steady myself and gather my thoughts. Looking down at my right forearm I’m slightly shocked to see that the top layer of skin has been completely removed. Even more bizarre is the transformation that has taken place beneath.

I can see that the muscles and sinews underneath appear to have been transformed or replaced somehow by some kind of strange emerald green organic matter. It looks like a strange mixture of crystallised vegetable matter. I stare mesmerised at a long bejewelled curving shape similar to a banana or a leaf embedded in my arm.

Its night time and I’m in London with my wife, we are in a busy city centre street. We are with a group of my wife’s friends, one of her friends a young woman catches my eye she is quite pretty and I could swear I’ve seen her before, she reminds me of one or two other women I know with a similar boyish fresh faced look.

Its almost as if our group (perhaps 10 or 11 people) have all been out for a night on the town and are now gathered in the street having one last chat before we all go our own separate ways. The people we are with are extremely friendly and I get the impression we haven’t seen them all for a long time, the evening out is something a little like a reunion.

Suddenly my wife discreetly whispers to me that she wants to leave the scene immediately without saying so much as a farewell or goodbye. We turn and walk away quickly from the group of friends with out saying a word. I don’t agree with what my wife is doing but I side with her regardless thinking that she must have her reasons.

As we walk farther away from the group I feel less comfortable about the situation and try to convince my wife to turn back around and to go and say goodbye properly to her friends otherwise she will really regret having passed up the opportunity later on. She doesn’t seem to want to but at my insisting we turn around and head back to the group.

I can see that the group of friends is really upset with how we just walked away without an explanation or a goodbye. The young boyish woman who also seems to be the leader of the reunion party looks emotionally hurt by my wife’s actions and scowls with tears in her eyes at my wife, she looks kind of angry but also like she could cry.

My wife goes back over to them in order to apologise and say her goodbyes, for a split second it doesn’t look like its going to happen and that our group of friends will reject our farewell. Suddenly the boyish young woman breaks into a big smile and bursts into tears, my wife and her friend run and swing their arms around one another in an embrace of deep friendship.

Everyone is crying with joy and happiness that we came back to say our goodbyes properly, everyone is very emotional including me! It is much better now that the departing of this large group of friends isn’t going to be a sad one and will instead have a happy ending.

I feel pleased and content almost thrilled that my wife followed my advice and went back to say a proper farewell to her friend.

I find myself deep underground in a dimly lit maze. The maze is unusual in that I seem to already know my way around it and I know that I could never become lost here. The main problem at the moment is that it is in a terrible mess and needs a good tidying.

I am down in the maze with my wife and a large group of friends some of whom I recognise and others that I do not. My wife and the others are going to help me clear out all of the old junk, rubbish and trash and make the maze clean and organised again.

The maze is faintly lit with candlelight and has quite low ceilings corridors. I see the Looking down corridors that the walls and floors are lined with an amazing quantity of brick-a-brack, old furniture and even some medium sized uprooted trees!

I immediately get stuck into the work and take a couple of the largish trees under my arms in order to get rid of them. My and the other join in and start clearing away all of the old junk and rubbish, I start to feel really positive now some progress is being made.
