Lucid Intent? No
This dream has been viewed 4112 times. It is morning time and I find myself in the city where I went to art college about 15 years ago. I am travelling as a passenger in a little white hatchback car which is being driven by my little sister, my sister seems so happy and full of confidence and overflowing with positivity it feels great to be in her presence.
As we drive along the road towards my old art college I start to see that it has fallen into neglect* and that it has actually been closed down, the buildings doors and windows have all been boarded up making it look derelict and abandoned.
Somehow my sister takes a magical shortcut and drives down the steps and straight through the large boarded up double doors that lead into the art college, it’s almost as if either the building or the car, my sister and I have transformed into ethereal spirit like substance and are able to traverse the blocked entranceway like ghosts passing easily through a solid wall.
Once on the other side of the grimy dreary college façade and just beyond the familiar old quadrangle we are treated to a beautiful stunning countryside landscape of rolling heavenly alpine meadows.
We drive through this blissful landscape for some time before eventually arriving at the end of a field which overlooks a huge motorway cutting through the landscape, the highway is reminiscent of a big motorway that cuts through a hilly siding on the way to London.
I stand a while reflecting on the motorway before I continue to walk through the beautiful fields and meadowland.
Later in the evening after walking many miles I eventually come upon a surreal futuristic fusion chamber out in the middle of a dusky countryside field, the machine is surrounded by an incredible glow of pulsating lights some of which are strangely dark and yet still light.
An archetypal Superman like character steps into the reactor via a small portal and undergoes an amazing transformation, I watch as the superhero morphs in the style of a stop motion animation into many different types of vehicles and transportation including land, air and water based craft.
The superhero’s metamorphosis starts off in two-dimensions and then progresses onto more solid three-dimensional shapes, the various vehicles are very positive and uplifting of which a silver cruise ship is most memorable and pleasing to look at.
Additional Comments:Thoughts: *Whilst visiting England last week I passed by my old art college which has indeed been shut down, my dream version of college looked just like the sad neglected waking life version. This dream is probably about getting back in touch with my artistic side (as represented in part by the universal feminine or my sister and also more obviously in the imagery of the neglected art college). Perhaps by overcoming obstacles which aren’t really there (the ghost like boarded up entranceway) I can find happiness, peace, positive transformation and the means to travel and cope with many different life experiences (the numerous positive vehicles and craft of air, land and sea) via my art, perhaps in a personal therapeutic sort of way.
Dream 1: Day of the donut – I find myself invited to the (dream) house of a manager who is responsible for s specific (and probably relevant) department at my place of work, I have been invited along with some other unfamiliar male and female work colleagues. The manager shows me how he has decorated the walls and ceilings of his living room with a most strange toned down psychedelic marbled metallic patterned wallpaper, the room seems curiously familiar and I’m sure I’ve dreamt of it before in one guise or another, I reflect on the wallpaper and wonder why he papered the ceiling as it seems so unconventional. As I mix with the other guests I am introduced to a lady who is a Gemini, I chat with her for a few moments and find her quite captivating and find everything she has to say very interesting. I feel very happy to meet her as she is so charming but unfortunately I don’t have long to talk with her before she is whisked away and absorbed into the crowd of other guests and work colleagues. As I browse around the manager’s apartment I see an open cardboard egg box container resting on a table which is full of donuts, there aren’t quite the usual six donuts (or eggs!) in the box as the sixth donut has been partially eaten with a bite missing. Later on as the party is in full swing I decide to discreetly leave, on my way out I see a large artists portfolio sandwiched between a bureau and a wall. I take the portfolio for myself it doesn’t feel like stealing as I feel it could have been sold to me if I had asked but regardless of this I don’t pay for it and leave without anyone seeing me.
Dream 2: The melting lovers – I witness a very sexual and surreal scene of a man and woman rolling and sliding about having sex on a white tiled floor in a deep pool of some kind of thick viscous gelatinous fluid. The drama is queasily sensual and arousing almost to the point of being transcendent. The lovers appear to lose themselves in one another, their body color fades leaving them transparent and their form begins to further liquefy and melt into one before finally dissolving and becoming one with the pool of fluid.
