In this dream I belong to some kind of animators club. I’ve invented a machine, some kind of zoetrope which creates moving pictures like cartoons. One of the by-products of this creation is that it makes me lots of money but this wasn’t the machines intended use.

Later at a workshop an unfamiliar older woman and a little boy help me to mould a life size pair of sensual women’s legs from clay. After the legs have been finished I intend to travel the world with them having adventures (?), the finished legs are real living things.

Additional Comments:

Interpretation: Possibly another dream about starting to be creative again and getting things moving and setting things in motion again, the sensual legs were an unusual symbol but perhaps simply represent something beautiful in an artistic kind of way? Dream 2: Laundry in the elevator – I find myself in a snack and magazine kiosk at an unfamiliar hospital, I’m browsing some motorcycle magazines. I go out to an elevator whose entrance is blocked by a motionless old man lying slumped on the floor, at first the man looks asleep but on closer inspection I see the man is actually dead. The dead body is a real inconvenience and creates something of an obstacle stopping me from reaching the lift. I step over the body and the elevator doors open and I get inside. The elevator is full of dirty laundry, I also discover that there are spiders amongst this dirty washing some of which occasionally bite me, the spider bites aren’t that bad and are more of a nuisance. I take the elevator down to a wash room where I begin the laborious job of sorting through the dirty laundry and trying to wash it. As I go about this task a small kitten comes scampering over to me, I’m a little disturbed to see that it has a dusty green mould on its head and that most of the hair has actually fallen out due to this disease or infection. The little kitten actually looks more like a tiny monkey due to the lack of hair, I play with the little creature and want to help it to become well again.

    The cartoonist & Dracula.

I am in the sitting room at my grandmother’s house with the cartoonist Charles Schulz (the man who drew the Peanuts comic strips). He has a drawing board set-up in the lounge area with a table nearby with his pencils, brushes etc all laid out.

He shows me some of his own drawings of Peanuts and Snoopy and then goes on to show me some of the Belgian comic strip character Tin Tin. We chat about sketching and drawing, he seems to know that I wanted to be a cartoonist when I was younger.

We chat about an English science fiction comic that I used to read when I was younger and that I dreamed of drawing for. He unfolds a double page spread out on his drawing board of one of the stories from this comic.

I see that the story is Dracula (in reality I don’t ever recall reading such a story in the sci-fi comics). I look at the full colour spread and see a scene of a spire or bell tower on a church. My eye flits from scene to scene and the comic strip almost takes on an animated appearance.

I watch as a bright pink flesh coloured mysterious cloud floats out of a little window in the spire down an through an arch into the area where the church bells are. Looking into the area where the bells are I see a strange ghostly pale spindly little assistant or helper of Dracula’s.

The pale creature has an almost subhuman air something like the Gollum character from the Lord of the Rings story, although here he has been rendered in an almost sweet or innocent way. I watch as the smoky pink cloud of Dracula communicates with the goblin like creature.

I don’t here what is said but they seem to be planning an outing or adventure of some kind together. The outing is for the benefit of the pink Dracula cloud and seems to be perhaps a spooky search for his next victim.
