Daytime and I find myself in a location which feels and looks like a place in the city where I
currently work (but although I was quite convinced of this from within the dream, on awakening I
realised that it was actually a specific location in the city where I lived about 10 years ago).
Standing on the pavement I look up to the sky and see the heavens absolutely full of wave after wave
of different kinds of aircraft, its something of a formation only on a gargantuan scale (what seemed
like the equivalent of a naval flotilla).
The sight is utterly numinous and awesome and I see many types of plane both small and large,
propeller and jet. Nestled in amongst the aircraft at the very centre is a behemoth of a double
decker* passenger jet which looks incredible and completely mesmerizing.
I suddenly have the fear that the planes are all going to fall from the sky and come crashing down
to earth on the exact spot where I am stood, in particular I envision the mammoth passenger jet come
slowly ploughing down into the ground like some kind of slow motion zeppelin.
In my fantasising panic I quickly shout and call to the passing members of the public to get off the
streets and find cover as a catastrophe is immanent. I make a mad dash run into a place of sanctuary
which looks something like a church sandwiched in-between the terrace of Regency shop fronts (but
which in waking life is a stationers shop).
I climb some old honey coloured steps up to a tight cramped tower vestibule which has an unglazed
window in the form of a thin vertical slit (such as seen in castles and where archers would fire
there arrows from). The narrow window offers a most restricted view of outside but I can just see in
the blue sky the airplanes glide gently by way up above.
I suddenly realise that I am mistaken and that there is going to be no tragedy outside on the street
below at all, I understand that my previous assumption was actually a (dream) memory of a previous
(dream) accident concerning an identical (dream) aviation accident that happened in exactly the same
spot with exactly the same aircraft at some point in the past or in some other alternate reality).
I’m left feeling relieved and very happy that the aircraft will continue to fly but I also feel a
little confused as if I had just suffered a bout of (dream) déjà vu.
Additional Comments:
Thoughts: This was a really amazing dream that felt very positive regardless of the strange déjà vu that I felt, I’ve noticed that dreams of seeing things in the sky are often accompanied by that awe inspiring numinous feeling, such dreams seem to stay with me for a day or two afterwards. The dream definitely seems to be tied in with previous dreams of mine particularly this one ‘Double decker flight attendant inspector.’ from Wednesday the 24th December where there was a similar *double decker aircraft but also Dream 4 from this night also had allusions to flight in my practicing and testing to ride the landing gear of a plane around an airfield, these dreams are most probably linked to me desire to move onto new stages in certain areas of my life.
Dream 2: The detective’s overflowing bath – It is daytime and I find myself in the upper floor art deco apartment of the fictional Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. Whilst Poirot, Hastings and Miss Lemon busy themselves in one room with a case they are working on I hear the sound of running and pouring water, the others are distracted so I go off to investigate. In the bathroom I see that the bath is absolutely full of water and the skin of the water has just breached the tops of the bath and has started to pour onto the floor, using my quick thinking I quickly push the plunger which ejects the plug of the bath and the water begins to drain away. I feel great relief and really positive that I have averted something of a catastrophic flood. I clean up the spill from the floor and also tidy the cushions on the sofa (?) that is in this room too.
Dream 3: 250/4 – It is daytime and I find myself on a lane in unfamiliar countryside, I simply appear to be standing about doing nothing in particular besides a hedge near to a fork in the road. A man roughly my age suddenly appears with a small motorcycle, the bike is on its center stand with the engine running. The man tells me that the motorcycle’s engine capacity is 250cc but that it is has 4 cylinders across the frame, this configuration strikes me as being extremely positive and my first reaction is to mentally divide 250 by 4 in order to better understand the significance of the engine (something I couldn’t mange within the dream, I did try and came to 72 but this didn’t seem right so I quickly gave up trying). As we chat the engine flutters as it idles making us both pause and turn, I’m concerned that the engine was going to cut out but it seems just like a passing glitch and the engine immediately continues to idle properly.
Dream 4: Tyred of racing – Daytime and I find myself at a grey cloudy airfield race circuit, I am riding a most peculiar vehicle something like a motorized unicycle only without the seat just a solitary wheel much like a chunky airplane wheel. I have been riding around the course as if taking part in a practice or testing session with other riders. After a while I stop and pull over where I am met by my female guardian and pit mechanic (it would appear that all of the racers have such a guardian mechanic watching over them, as if specially designated like a guardian angel). My mechanic checks my tyre and we see that it is well worn across its top, I feel tired from the testing so go indoors to a nearby house which feels like something of a residence for the racers a bit like a student lodgings. My mechanic guide gives me a gift of a pair of woollen gloves, the left mitt is fingerless but the right glove has full fingers. I see an old childhood friend staying here too whose family name is meaningful and resembles an enigma. There is a shared problem in the lodgings whereby there is an accumulation of dirty laundry, there appears to be nothing clean in the way of bed linen and no way to wash the dirty laundry that has already built up. The laundry problem doesn’t appear to be specifically my own or at the very least it is a shared problem and hence I don’t feel like I should be the one to resolve the problem alone, the dream ends with a few chords of slightly spine tingling droning dirge like music.

I find myself boarding a very large double decker airplane I immediately note that I don’t quite
feel myself and it’s almost as if I’m playing the part of another person.
I’m dressed in a long detective style raincoat with a trilby, I feel very authoritative and serious
and I’m aware that my role or occupation is that of a flight attendant inspector, that is to say I’m
a bit like one of those people who visits restaurants incognito in order to taste the wares and then
report my findings in a good food journal.
As I take my seat on the upper deck I see one or two air stewardesses and stewards pass me by, I
sense their nervousness and realize that I am here to scrutinize all aspects of my flight.
Additional Comments:
Thoughts: This dream perhaps represents my need to inspect (or even the way that I am currently analyzing) the things in my life which are keeping me grounded and are perhaps hindering me from attaining new levels advancement (perhaps in a conscious way) in my waking life. Regardless of those thoughts this dream did feel positive from the viewpoint of my flight attendant inspector.
Dream 2: Talking pet dog – Daytime in the pleasant and sunny lounge of an unfamiliar house and I have a new pet dog, its a little King Charles spaniel with a white and russet colored patchy coat of fur. The little dog is completely puddled and very dappy but quite loveable nonetheless and a bundle of fun. But most remarkable of all though is the fact that my pet dog can speak, we chat together all of the time having amusing conversations its great fun but oblivious and perhaps taking my dog’s amazing ability for granted I just wish he wasn’t quite so nutty all of the time and that we could have more serious conversations occasionally.
Dream 3: Freddy’s not real – Daytime and I find myself walking through the huge tunnel of the familiar shopping arcade in the town where I lived about 10 years ago, there has been some kind of power cut and the lights in the arcade are all off leaving it very dim with only the light at the other end of the tunnel offering a glimmer of direction. The arcade is quite deserted and I find myself walking along holding a dinner plate loaded with a mixture of junk food. Suddenly and as if out of nowhere the horrible character of Freddy Kruger leaps out on me (who incidentally has been popping up occasionally in my dreams for some reason just lately, which is quite bizarre as I don’t watch or like theses sort of films (I saw one in my teens), and I find my dreams of this character immature and sort of cringe worthy on waking reflection), I fling my plate into the air out of fright and we both begin another titanic struggle. As we hold one another and wrestle in a bizarre kind waltz I look closely at the head of the horror movie character and distinctly note that the grotesque face and head is actually a fully encompassing mask, I suddenly feel a strange sense of relief, disappointment and renewed or regained strength. “This is no supernatural demon” I think to myself but it’s just a man dressed up in a scary costume, this thought fills me with renewed vitality and now I know that I can overcome him.
