In this dream I was shopping. (In real life I am not shopping for the rest of the year.) The first thing in the store was this exhibit looking area with necklaces and hand bags. The necklaces were delicate gold pendants on a delicate chain, and one was a horse shape. It looked like something from a European tribe but it turns out that the necklaces were Peruvian gold artifacts found in South America. They were displayed around the neck of a flat photograph of a small child supposedly from that tribe. At first sight I wanted one of these small necklaces but then after looking at the explainations I was kind of disturbed about using something with this origin for fashion purposes, as if it might have some hidden religious meaning on it. The leather bags were also not normal things but ancient Peruvian "swaddling bags". The description said that they would put their babies in these bags to feel like they were still in the womb and therefore the babies would be quiet and could be easily transported. I kept that in mind someday if I have a baby I should keep it swaddled in something. But it was hard to shop here, things were not as they seemed. I quickly browsed to the end of the store (aside from that initial "exhibit" it was typical thrift store/antique mall stuff) and started digging through a bunch of used shoes that were on the floor and tied up with rubber bands. Doing this felt kind of uncomfortable, like I was desperate. A red boot caught my eye but it was very worn and not my size. I quickly ascertained that all these shoes were just old crap. But something in my head said to me "you never know where you will find the right piece". And I do know that some of my favorite things have come from random places, but most of the time, like now, I'm achieving nothing compared to what I get out of it. I became bored by this digging and realizing the "right piece" is not here and therefore it cut into another dream or awoke shortly after.
