i was moving into a house i've dreamt of before, and decided i wanted to live in the basement.  there was no heat in the basement, but there was a huge fireplace, directly under and connected to the fireplace on the main floor.  i looked into the fireplace and noticed inside it was a charred, foldable metal staircase leading down to i suppose an even deeper basement.  i remember thinking that wasn't the handiest place for a staircase.

behind the fireplace was the area i wanted to use as my room.  it was all concrete and only partially walled in, i'd have to hang blankets in the open spaces to section out my room.  there was a bed already there, with an ornate but very sturdy metal frame, with very short legs, resting on a rectangular slab of concrete about three feet high.  next to the bed was an antique dresser, full of things.  the newest thing in the room was a shower, which was large but not entirely closed in.  there was a shower curtain that could be pulled around to contain most of the water spray, but i didn't want to keep it closed.  i wanted to know what was in the dresser, but i didn't want to get it wet and i didn't want to stop playing with the water.

the basement was the most concrete (ha ha) and memorable part of the dream, but i did venture outside of it.  there were quite a few people moving into the house with me, but their rooms were all posh and furnished and they all had their own huge luxurious bathrooms.  my favorite thing about the basement was that it was pretty far away from everyone else and people wouldn't go down there much.

i was enthusiastically taking a shower, trying to scrub away the filth, and accidentally clawed myself in the chest.  i looked down and the water pouring down me was all red and bloody, but i couldn't tell where it was coming from.  i called out for the guy who was apparently my lover and asked him to tell me where i was cut.  he scoffed at me and pointed to a gash on my chest that was only about two inches long, but fairly deep.  then he threw me backwards over the sink and insulted me a lot while he cleaned my wound with alcohol.

Cardboard Box Shower and School Bus Hallucination

So I was trying to take a shower in a cardboard box with a hole in the top because it was raining in the back yard.  My neighbor also had a shower in the back yard, but it was a real shower.  Actually it wasn't raining yet, but I was going out to my cardboard box, and my neighbor was going out there too, and she asked me what I was doing.  I don't know if I told her I was taking a shower.  She told me she was taking a shower, and her boyfriend/husband/whatever came out and told me that I was hallucinating.  I was about to argue with him, but as soon as he said I a was hallucinating, I started hallucinating.

I guess I was on a school bus when I was hallucinating, and everyone else on the school bus was hallucinating too, and I was the only person that knew why.

The hallucinating started wearing off when I started fighting it and trying to argue with the guy.  I was no longer in the school bus.  I was in the back yard.  But he wouldn't have any of it, he believed that I was on drugs all the time that made me hallucinate, and then he left.  To go to work, I guess.

As soon as the two neighbors were gone it started raining and I went back out to my cardboard box and showered in the rain.  Then Benji took my towel, and I yelled at him and told him to get me another towel, and he didn't do it.  He just walked away.
