I was at work with a friend or a colleague - I can't remember who it was, but she was female. The building I worked in was a primary school, but the downstairs looked like a cinema lobby, with a ticket desk, arcade, and corridors which appeared to lead off to cinema screens. When I arrived, I decided to go to the toilet before my shift started, but I became aware something was wrong. I normally used the bathrooms in the arcade, but the whole area was closed with the lights off. I asked someone what had happened, and they said there had been a problem with the plumbing, and there was no way to get into the toilets. They told me some temporary toilets had been set up in the right corridor, so I headed there and joined a queue of about 8 people. More people rapidly joined the queue behind me. When I got to the front of the queue, I saw that the cubicles had been made by hanging white sheets from the ceiling, and the toilets were really just large buckets with seats on top. There was no way to flush them, so they were revolting. I decided I wasn't desperate enough to use them, so I decided to leave. The man behind me - a middle-aged black man who seemed to be a close friend of mine - asked me why I was leaving, so I told him. He decided to leave too.
I headed back to the main lobby and saw a man I recognised sitting at the desk. After a few moments, I realised it was my school art teacher, Mr Gosse, and he hadn't aged at all. I suddenly remembered there was another set of toilets down the left corridor, but when I went there, I saw a queue of hundreds of children from the school upstairs. On the wall was a schedule listing when each class was allowed to use the toilet. I realised I'd be waiting forever. It suddenly dawned on me that I didn't actually even need the toilet, so I left.
I started walking home and after a while a car pulled up next to me. It was my cousin Emma, and my ex-boyfriend, Rich. They told me to get in the car because we had to go to meet some friends. I didn't want to, but I got in the back of the car. I was suddenly aware that I was absolutely shattered, so I laid down and tried to go to sleep. Every time I felt like I was about to drop off, Emma or Rich shouted to wake me up, and I was getting more and more frustrated.
When we arrived, Emma dropped Rich and I off, and she left. We were at a large house which was shared by two of our colleagues, Nicky and Len. They weren't a couple - Nicky had a husband who also lived with them, but he was away on business. He looked a lot like Dominic West. We went to sit in the garden and have a drink. Len started talking about how he got a bonus from work which allowed him to make £600 a week while he only had to work one day. He said he'd told a friend about this, and advised he apply for a job too, but the friend hadn't believed him. While Rich and Len started talking about money, Nicky started talking to me about my shoes. She said she liked them, then she said "You should put your shoes on Twitter". I asked what she meant, and she said that she knew I had 46 pairs of shoes (I wanted to point out it was closer to double that, but I didn't interrupt her), and she said some pairs must hurt or rub my feet, so I should put an announcement on Twitter that I was going to give them to her, and that would be a binding contract meaning she could come and collect the shoes. I didn't want to give any of my shoes away, and I resented the suggestion, but I knew I needed to be polite, so I assured her that I would have a look through my collection when I got home and see which shoes didn't fit. I knew full well I wouldn't find any, but I couldn't be bothered to argue, I just wanted to go home.

There had been some sort or world-wide disaster which had killed the majority of the population the world over. My parents and I had somehow managed to survive by hiding in an underground bunker for three days. We had finally ventured to the surface, and were now heading back to what was left of our homes to see what supplies we could salvage. We arrived at my house too, and though it was in a mess, with rubble everywhere, it was still basically in one piece. As I headed to the door, I saw something moving by the bins. I looked closer and saw that it was my cat, Mokie (deceased in real life). We had been unable to find him when we went into hiding, and we were certain he would have been killed. I was absolutely overjoyed to see him, and I picked him up and gave him a cuddle. He was skinny and bedraggled, and I knew he hadn't eaten since the disaster. I took him into the house and sat him down. I went to the fridge, and there was a carton of cream inside. I took it back to Mokie, and started feeding him off my finger. At first he licked the cream from my finger, then he started sucking it like a baby. I was overwhelmed with guilt that we had left him behind, and that he'd still waited for us even after we abandoned him, that I decided I would stay and take care of him - he was too old and ill to move. I knew I would struggle to find food if I stayed, but I felt I owed it to him.

I was in a room with some male friends, and one of them had a pet tarantula. It seemed to have abnormally thick, hairy legs - when it stood still it almost looked like a ball of fluff. It was on the table near me, when all of a sudden it ran up my arm and settled between my shoulderblades. I panicked, I was convinced it was going to crawl up onto my face. One of my friends helped me get it off my back, and I left the room.
I found myself in a weird underground area, which was like a labyrinth of tunnels carved into stone. The walls were rough and narrow, and the ceilings were rounded. I knew that if I headed in a certain direction, I would come out in a garden/market area. I knew I had been here before, and I was very afraid for some reason. I suddenly realised that I was in a real-life version of something I had seen in a Pokemon game - there were 12 evil, scary-looking ghosts trapped down here. If I cast a spell, I could see them and they could hurt me, but I could also fight and defeat them. If I cast the spell again, I could no longer see them or interact with them, but I also couldn't beat them. I cast the spell and saw one ghost disappearing down the corridor ahead of me. I looked to my left to see another one. It was a young woman with pigtails and ribbons, dressed in a pink and yellow party dress that looked like something a little girl would wear. Her face had clown make up on, but it was all smeared - she looked a bit like the Joker from The Dark Knight. I considered fighting her briefly, but I was terrified, so I quickly cast the spell again and she disappeared.
I decided to leave, but I needed the toilet first. I knew there was a toilet nearby, and I headed there. It was in a small sealed room, also made from stone, and looked old and decrepit. There was a Leatherface mask draped over the toilet, and I somehow remembered that he had been the leader of the ghosts, and I had defeated him previously. I knew that meant I was no longer obligated to fight them again and rid the place of the ghosts, so I felt a bit better. Despite the fact I knew that Leatherface was dead, the mask still bothered me and I was reluctant to touch the toilet. I had to hover to use it, then I left. On the way out I passed a booksheld with four Pokewalkers on it (little pedometers which came with a Pokemon DS game). I grabbed two, and another person passing by grabbed the other two.
I finally left the labyrinth and ended up in a garden which was divided into square areas, seperated by low hedges. In each square was a man in a suit, and two other men. The man in the suit was having Pokemon battles with the other men. I suddenly realised that my Pokewalkers were actually pre-set teams of Pokemon, and I had to use them to defeat each of the men in suits. I realised that this was the alternative to fighting the ghosts - there were twelve men, and each one I beat would be the equivalent of killing a ghost. I knew I had no chance, especially as I didn't even know which Pokemon I had, but anything was better than seeing the ghosts again, so I stepped up to challenge the first man.
Additional Comments:
The spider part comes from an anecdote a friend told me, which was very similar. The second part of the dream seems to be a reference to Thir13en Ghosts, which I was watching before I went to bed.
