I was in a car with my parents, and we were sitting outside a garden centre. We were on our way to a party that I really didn't want to go to. Eventually, we left and headed to the party. It was being held at the house of an acquaintance of mine, Marcus, but in the dream he was a family friend. I sat for a while, then I suddenly became aware of the fact that I wasn't wearing a bra. I knew I had one in my handbag, so I got up, folded my arms, and headed to the bedrooms to change. On the way past, Marcus asked me if I could sit in a certain corner when I got back, because he wanted me to look after his cat. I said I would once I got back. I headed to a bathroom nearby, and saw a small cat nearby. It was pale grey and tabby, and extremely soft. I knew it was frightened by all the people, so I called it into the bathroom with me. It followed, but wanted to leave shortly afterwards. I followed it to the master bedroom, where I stopped to get changed. I put on my spare bra, and realised it was the ugliest, most unflattering bra ever - it was black and really covered, like a sports bra. I thought it had a hole in the band, but it turned out to be part of the design. As I stood there, I heard someone try to open the door. I called out that the room was occupied. A few seconds later, the second door to the room burst open, and a sleazy man came in, clearly trying to catch me in my underwear. I put my top on and left, really hoping that he'd been disappointed by the ugly bra.
I left the party and went home. I lived in a large apartment complex in the middle of a field. The house had about 6 storeys and was very plain and square. It had a concrete path leading up to it, then all around the building, and the field stretched off in all directions as far as you could see. My apartment was on the ground floor, on the far side of the building from the main entrance. As I went to my door, lots of the other residents were standing around outside. Most of them were older than me, some elderly, and they all looked grumpy. As I passed one side of the building, a man called out to me. It was a colleague from work, Jim, and he told me he wanted to show me something, but I was in a bad mood, so I just carried on and went home. Over the next few days, Jim kept calling out to me every time I walked past, but I always ignored him.
One day, I was in my apartment doing housework, when I heard a knock at the door. The door was already open, and I looked up to see a large black man in a suit and hat. As I looked up, he walked away. I ran after him just in time to see him disappear round the corner of the building. I chased him again, but when I got to the corner, he was gone. As usual, Jim was stood nearby, and he called me over. This time I decided just to go and see what he wanted. As usual he said he had something to show me, and he pointed to the floor. I looked down and saw a 50p piece. It was slightly distorted, as though a second one had been stuck underneath and slightly off-centre. I was really struggling for money, and had been desperately trying to save £3 for something important, so 50p was a big deal and I was really grateful. He then pointed to another spot on the ground, where I saw a second coin.
After thanking Jim, he said he had one more thing to show me. Someone walked past us, onto the grass, and Ji pointed at the footprint the person had left. I looked and saw grass and mud, but also a vivid pale blue, almost as though the footprint was filling up with water. he told me to look up and see the beauty of the blue and pink, and as I looked across the field I saw that all of the grass was covered in this blue "liquid", and the sky was tinted pink. He took my hand and led me to the middle to the field, where he let go. I asked him what now, and he just said "We sink", and as if on cue, I felt myself start to sink into the mud. All of a sudden, I realised that I was dead. the apartment complex was entirely populated by dead people who hadn't accepted that they were dead, and Jim had been trying to help me move on. I knew that if I let myself completely sink into the ground, I would be free. With that realisation, I sat down, so I could sink quicker. Jim smiled and said he was proud of me. I sunk down to my chest, when I suddenly panicked. I told him I needed to speak to my parents, and he told me I didn't - they already knew I had died. I then told him I needed to find my cat - he was dead too, he must be here - but Jim told me that my cat had probably already moved on, and I would find him later. He reassured me that a last minute panic was normal. I was worried that it would feel horrible once my face went under the surface, but I just closed my eyes and let myself sink.
