I was at work, and I was chatting to someone about my colleague from another department, Vanessa. I can't remember who I was speaking to, but they told me that Vanessa was facing 8 months in prison because of some mistake she'd made at work. Apparently she was behind in her work, so she gave other colleagues some tax details for their company cars before she'd checked some facts and figures, and it counted as tax evasion, so she had to go to court. I was over the moon because I can't stand Vanessa, and I couldn't stop laughing.
A little later, I was sitting in an office, and Vanessa was sitting near me. Another colleague, James, came in to use a vending machine, just as Vanessa was saying to someone "It's only 7 weeks now". James misheard and said "2 weeks? What's happening in 2 weeks?". She said "In two weeks my boyfriend gets out, so we can actually be together instead of just penpals!". I realised that her boyfriend was already in prison, and that would make her look bad in court, so I laughed again. She went on to say that in another 5 weeks after that, she was in court. Someone asked her what the odds were of her getting sent down, and she said it was 7:1. I knew that if she went to prison she'd definitely lose her job, and she probably would anyway because of the bad publicity she was bringing to the company. She seemed pretty calm, but you could tell it was an act, and I just kept smiling. For some reason, I knew I was going to be called as a character witness, and I knew I could say exactley what I thought of her.

My stepbrother had just married and American woman, and I'd travelled to the USA to visit them. I don't know what city I was in, but it was big and had loads of shops, and I was really excited. I was hungry, so I decided to stop for fast food, but I wanted to go somewhere I couldn't go to in England, so I ignored the places like McDonalds and Burger King until I found Dunkin Donuts. I went in and before I could see what I wanted, a man on the till started pressuring me to order. I saw they had churros on the menu, and I asked what one was. The manager arrived and said he'd show me, and he took me back into the kitchen and showed me how they were made.
The manager let me leave the store by the staff entrance, and there was a woman outside who had the ears and tail of a deer. She told me she was the manager's sister, and that he really liked me and wanted to go on a date. I explained that I was just visiting, but I was seriously considering moving here in about three months. She immediately lost interest in talking to me and said there was no point even bothering if I was going back to England.
I started walking round the other shops and decided to buy some clothes. I'd heard that things were cheaper in America, so I decided to find a shop that we had too and compare the prices. I found a Bay Trading Co store which was having a sale, and went inside. The shop was tiny, and seemed to be in the middle of renovations or something, because there were ladders and paint everywhere. For some reason, I think I was pushing a pram, even thought I didn't have a baby. I looked at the prices and was disappointed to see they were pretty much the same as back home - it didn't occur to me that $20 was a lot less than £20, so I thought everything was still the same. I founda little black lacy skirt that i really liked, and was reduced to $8.50. I wasn't sure what size I'd need because British sizes are different, so I found one which looked right and decided to try it on. There were two women waiting in the queue at the till, one of whom was talking really loudly. I didn't want to pay yet, so when there was a quiet moment I interrupted the sales advisor and asked if I could try the skirt on. She said yes and pointed me to the changing rooms down a corridor. The loud woman was blocking my way, so I said Excuse Me, and she just got angry, saying there was no need for me to interrupt her, I should have just gone straight to the changing room. I pointed out that not only had I never been to this store before, but I'd never been to this continent before, so maybe she should cut me some slack about not knowing my way around.
Additional Comments:
I was so excited to be in America, but the town looked like a cross between the shops in my home town, and those of a nearby city.

There was a big castle I was trying to get inside, but I couldn't. Outside one wall was the sea, and there was a shipwreck - the mast of the ship was leaning against the castle. I was climbing on the shipwreck for ages, and I was singing some song. For some reason, this made me able to enter the castle - I went back to the main entrance and moved two big cartoon-like crabs which were blocking a secret tunnel. I got into the tunnel, and started sliding down a really long tube until I ended up in the castle. I was covered in mud from the slide, but I didn't care. Living in the castle were some blue cartoon-like penguins, which were about 5ft tall. I knew I had to avoid them and not let them see me - I think they were evil. Some were actual penguins, and some were people dressed up as penguins. I eventually left the castle, and bumped into my cousin Emma. I told her about what had happened and she was really excited and wanted me to take her to the castle. I pointed out that she was wearing white jeans and a white jumper, and would get filthy going down the chute, and she said she didn't want to go after all.
