It was night, and I was walking round a car park with a friend. I don't know the friend's name, and I
don't know him in real life, but in the dream we were really close. We walked to Do It All (DIY shop on
the outskirts of my town), and we were looking round by the staff entrance at the back. There was a
thumb-print scanner on the door, which you had to use to get in, so we knew it was a high-security
area. My friends said we wouldn't be able to get in there, but I said it was okay because my stepdad
used to work there.
We managed to open the door, without using the scanner, and we went inside. Instead of a DIY shop, it
looked like something from a sci-fi film. Everything was white and clinical, though it was slightly dark
inside, making everything seem grey, and there were lots of silver and chrome fixtures. The room we
were in was huge, and the centre of the room was on a lower level. We walked down a couple of steps
into the centre of the room, and there was some sort of huge silver machine, which extended through
the floor and the ceiling. I looked around and realised that the place had been made from an
abandoned shopping centre, because you could still see the shop fronts, which had been painted in an
attempt to hide them. When I looked back around, my friend was gone.
I tried to look for him, but a man in a white suit appeared and asked me what I was doing. Outwardly,
he seemed very friendly, but there was something menacing about him. I told him I was looking for my
friend, then I turned round and walked away from him, to the other side of the machine. Suddenly,
there were loads of people in the room, all just walking round and chatting, as though the building was
still a shopping centre. There was a pig walking round, and I somehow knew it was my friend, who'd
somehow been turned into it. I noticed there were quite a few animals walking round, and nobody
seemed to pay much attention to them. Leaning on one wall, I saw Hiroki Sugimura (character from
Battle Royale), and he was holding a newborn kitten and staring at me.
Additional Comments:
Hiroki Sugimora looked like he does in the manga version of Battle Royale, as opposed to the book or
the film. Before I went to bed, I read part of the manga where Hiroki finds an abandoned kitten, and
looks after it, so I would guess that explains that part of it.

I'd gotten a new job in MVC (an entertainment store), and it was my first day. I was working on the
shop floor, rather than the tills, and I was doing pretty well. I'd been there for a while - it was about
3pm, when I realised I needed the toilet. I went up to the till my manager was working on, and asked
him where the toilet was. He said that we didn't have a toilet, we used the shopping centre's ones. He
gave me directions I didn't understand, but I tried following them anyway. I bumped into one of my
new colleagues, and I asked her where the toilet was. She was really skinny, and her gums and teeth
were huge, like a horse. She gave me better directions, then she grabbed my face, and squeezed my
cheeks in together and laughed.
I walked round the corner into what looked like a convention or a fayre. There were loads of tents on
the left hand side of the room - which was a really long room - and loads of people queueing up on the
right hand side. I saw lots of people I went to college with. First I saw my friend Barry in the queue, but
for some reason I wanted to avoid him. Next, I saw my friend Darren, who said hi. Then my ex-
boyfriens and my best friend from school, Gareth and Kerrie, came out of the tent behind me, and said
they'd been looking for me. I realised that the reason I wanted to avoid Barry was because he'd ask
about how Gareth and I broke up, and I couldn't be bothered to explain. I looked at the clock above
the exit, and it was now midnight. Kerrie said she'd help me find the toilets, so we left.
We ended up in the street, but we couldn't find the toilets anywhere. Suddenly, I remembered that
before I'd got the job, I'd seen the skinny girl with the big teeth coming out of the back door of MVC,
and going through the back door of McDonalds next door. I realised that was where the toilets were,
and that we'd come out of the wrong door. We had to cross the main road to get to that door, and there
was a triangle shaped traffic island we needed to stop and change direction on. There were lots of
tourists stuck on the traffic island, all wearing plastic macs and carrying umbrellas, even though it was
sunny. When we got to the island, there was a police woman who told us that we couldn't stop on it
because it was being built on. We realised that the whole thing was a pile of rubble, and we were going
to get dusty if we stayed, so we crossed in the other direction, and walked round to McDonalds.
We realised that we were hungry, so we decided to buy some food while we were there - I hadn't had a
lunch break, so I didn't think my boss would mind. There were dozens of people queuing, but they were
all crowded round the tills, like you'd queue at a bar. Kerrie and I waited at one end of the counter. My
manager came in, and waited with us, saying he was hungry too. I couldn't decide what to have. They
sold all the standard McD things, but there were loads of other unusual things too. There was only one
girl working on the counter, so we waited for ages.
Eventually, my manager got served, and I knew I was next. I'd decided that I wanted some jellybeans.
There was a big jellybean display case down one side of the counter, and the mixed flavour was called
Andovian, which was what I wanted. However, there was a handful of chocolate things on top of this
flavour, and I didn't want any of them. The girl on the till came up to me and Kerrie, and said she was
giving us a free sample of the chocolate things. I ate them and was surprised at how nice they were.
The girl then asked who was next, and I had to call out about 3 times before she heard that it was me.
I wanted a cheeseburger, but there were none ready, so I'd have to wait. I also asked for a chocolate
ice cream, which I had to repeat about ten times, and I knew didn't bode well for me explaining which
jellybeans I wanted. I realised that my manager had probably finished his meal by now, because we'd
been waiting hours, but when I looked at my watch, it was still midnight.
Additional Comments:
The town where this dream took place was not my home town - it sort of looked like Winchester, which
is a nearby city, crossed with Chessington, which is much farther away.
The jellybeans were called Andovian, and my town is called Andover. In the dream, I knew that they
were connected somehow.
