I was working in some sort of electrical company. Our office was a large, long building, surrounded by beautiful gardens. I had worked there previously and left, maybe to go to college or something, but had rejoined again. Today was my last day for the second time, and when the time came to leave, everyone was too busy to say goodbye properly, so I gathered my things, waved, and left. As I was walking through the gardens, I bumped into a colleague, Charlotte (actually Charlotte Holmes from Britain's Next Top Model). Although we'd worked together for a while, we'd never really chatted or gotten to know each other, but we stopped for a chat now in the gardens, and I realised she was really nice. As we chatted, Carmen Silvera came running out of the building. She was both my boss, and Charlotte's mother. She was crying, and gave me a hug, saying she would miss me - I knew she was the person I got along with the most, and I was going to miss her too. I laughed through the tears, and said to Charlotte "She was the one who made me cry last time too". It was time to leave, but Charlotte and I were getting on so well and had so much in common,t hat she decided to come with me. Back at home, we sat in my bedroom for what felt like hours, just chatting and laughing. Eventually, I told her I had to go to bed because I was meeting my mum in the morning, so she left and I went to sleep.

I woke up feeling groggy, I knew I was supposed to meet my mum at 10am, but when I looked at my clock it was 11:35. I panicked; I'd set my alarm, and clearly either hadn't heard it or it had't gone off. I looked at my phone on my bedside cabinet and saw that I had missed calls and messages from my mum too, which also hadn't woken me. As I sat up, I noticed that my bedroom was in a state, like someone had been rummaging through it to find something. My bed was further to one side than it should be, all the drawers and cupboards had been ransacked, and there were broken oraments everywhere. I tried to phone my mum to tell her I was sorry for being late, but all I could get was an automated message telling me to text her. My doorbell rang, and I knew it was my mum, so I made my way downstairs to let her in. As I walked, I knew something was wrong - I felt drunk, my head was spinning and I couldn't walk straight. When I opened the door, my mum was there looking like she did in the 80s, when i was small. She was really annoyed and said now we were going to get stuck in all the traffic,a nd have to deal with all the schoolkids. I tried to explain what had happened, and that me new alarm clock hadn't gone off, but she wouldn't listen, and sent me upstairs to get dressed.

Back upstairs, I tried to put some clothes on, but nothing seemed to be right. My tights drawer was wedged almost shut, where the bed had been pushed so close to it, and I could just about reach in to grab a pair, but every pair I grabbed had holes in them, or didn't fit. I went to my wardrobe to find a skirt, and I saw an envelope with my name and address. I thought it must be a card for my birthday in a couple of days time, but when I had hold of it I saw it was a Christmas card I'd been sent years ago, and it was one of many. I also saw a large piece of broken crockery on the floor, then saw three others. I remembered I had an enormous decorative Greek plate on the wall near the bed, and I started to think that maybe it had fallen on my head, knocking me out, which would explain why I couldn't wake up. Just then, my phone rang, and the display said the caller was Jo. i had a sudden flashback that this Jo had called me the night before, just before I went to bed. I couldn't remember what he'd said, but I knew it had been vaguely threatening. I answered the phone, and a man's voice said something like "you think you made a friend last night, a colleague with all the same interests, but that didn't really happen, it was just what we wanted you to think". I hung up, and noticed a blue light shining out from a gap in my bookshelf. As I got closer, I could hear a hissing sound, and realised gas was being released. It all became clear that this was the reason I hadn't been able to wake up - I'd been gassed. I tried to hold my breath, but I could feel it affecting my head. I made my way to the door, trying to call out to my mum. I didn't think I'd make it, my legs were starting to collapse and my head was swimming. I just about managed to open the door, and as I opened it the fresh air rushed in and gave me a temporary lift, enabling me to run downstairs. Instead of finding my mum, there was a young man with blonde hair and freckles sitting crosslegged on the back of my sofa. I knew I'd seen him before, I had a feeling we went to school together, but I don't know if he was Jo or not. By this point, the gas had pervaded the entire house, though it didn't seem to be affecting the boy. Before I could get to the front door, I felt my consciousness slipping away as I slumped to the floor.

When I came to, I was in an enormous white building, filled with hundreds of people and stalls. I saw Kevin Spacey nearby, working at a stall which apparently sold pizza. I was helped to my feet by a very tall, large man in a white coat - he looked like a young Orson Wells, but with a shock of thick brown hair. He took me by the arm and explained that he was in charge of this facility.I looked up and saw that there was a series of pipes running round the ceiling. Around three quarters of the way down the building was a large wall, which did not go all the way to the ceiling - I assumed this was a staff area. The pipes went over the wall to a large mechanism in the far corner of the ceiling. I asked what it was, and the man said he'd show me. He took me to a wall which had two buttons on. He pressed one, and the mechanism started whirring, and sent out cups full of drink via the ceiling tubes to each of the stalls. The man explained this was to make sure the workers stayed hydrated, as they weren't allowed a break. I pressed the other button before the man could stop me, and a second machine I hadn't noticed before started dispensing flavoured milk along the same tubes. The man did something to stop this before it reached the workers. He told me that the milk was for the babies only. I asked which babies, and he told me to wait. He disappeared behind the wall, then appeared over the top lifting a hideous baby in a pink baby grow. She was huge, about the size of a 2 year old, but was clearly newborn. Her skin was really pink, and her head looked like her brains were growing on the outside. The man put her down and I realised that there were hundreds of these deformed babies back there. At the same time, I started to look around and realised that most of the people in the room weren't actually human - some looked human with minor differences, others were clearly alien creatures.

I realised that I'd been brought here for some kind of experiment, or a work camp, and that Kevin Spacey was here for the same reason. The man returned and from the expression on his face I could tell he knew I was realising what was going on. He went over to where kevin Spacey was and pressed another button. A display of dummies (pacifiers) appeared, and the man spent ages trying to choose one to give to Kevin. Kevin kept pointing on one which seemed to be a designer brand and scented with Calvin Klein aftershave, but the man picked a large pink one and forced him to put it in his mouth. I realised that as far as the man and his people were concerned, adult humans were just children, one step up from the babies behind the wall, and that he was going to work us until we were old and/or skilled enough to be changed into something else. I realised that their lifespans were more than ours, but that we'd end up living as long as them, either in slavery or as the subject of some vile experiment. I was terrified, but I couldn't move, and I realised there was no way to escape.

I only remember a very brief part of this dream. There was some kind of television show where people phoned in and got to play a video game - it was a first person shooter game. A man named Gary had phoned up and was playing the game, and everything in the dream was from the same POV as the first person shooter - there was a gun in the bottom of the screen and the screen moved as though it was walking. Gary moved up some stairs and saw a group of creatures. They had the bodies of dinosaurs - like T-rexes, but a little more comic book style. Instead of a dinosaur face, they had a human skull. There were three types - red knights which were standard and died after one shot, blue knights which could throw things, and took three shots to kill, and yellow knights which could create fireballs, and had to be shot multiple times, or once in the head. Gary took out a group of red and blue knights, but a yellow knight came towards him and started throwing fireballs. He backed down the stairs, and the knight stayed at the top, throwing more fire. The fire started to take on a liquid consistancy, and started to drip down the stairs like watery lava. I kept willing Gary to shoot directly up and put a bullet in the bottom of its chin, which would kill it, but he didn't. I suddenly realised that I'd watched this many times before, and he could never get past this creature.

    Additional Comments:

I think the knights appeared because I'd just watched Alien Resurrection before going to bed - the faces looked a lot like the creature at the end of the film.

My parents and I were all living in New York, though we lived in different houses. I had gone to meet some friends at a restaurant, and we were sitting upstairs waiting for our food. I can't remember what happened, but for some reason we ended up running away from the restaurant, being chased by the chef, who was trying to kill us. As we ran, we managed to lose him, then we bumped into Adam Lamberg, who was also a friend of ours. He asked if one of us would help him look for his dad, as he hadn't been able to get in touch with him for ages. I agreed to help, and we left together.

He took me to Brooklyn, which is where his father lived. He lived in one of a row of weird houses, which seemed to be set into the edge of a cliff. To get into them, you had to climb down a staircase which was so steep that the only safe way to do it was to go backwards, like you were on a ladder. Once down the stairs, you ended up in the living room, which was jutting out of the cliff, and was made from glass, so all the houses could see each other. The rest of the rooms were concealed within the cliff, which you got to by walking behind the staircase. Adam went down the stairs, backwards, and started to call out to his dad. He got no reply, but then he noticed a reflection of the room he was in, in the glass wall of a neighbouring house. The reflection showed him, and directly behind him was the corpse of his father, sitting at a computer table - he had not looked behind him after climbing down the stairs. The corpse looked partially mumified - it had browning skin, stretched over the bones, and seemed like it had been there for ages. On the desk was a photograph of the room, with the dead body sitting at the desk. I realised that someone must have been in the house recently and taken the photo, but I didn't say anything to Adam because I thought it would scare him. Just then, a black cat walked into the room, and Adam immediately ran to it and started hugging it. He realised that nobody would have fed the cat in ages, and this seemed to upset him more than the death of his father, so he ran to the kitchen to feed it.

We eventually left, and Adam asked me to move into his father's house with him and another friend. I didn't want to, but I could see he really needed support, so I agreed. I left and went to meet my parents - I found them walking down the street and we went to talk inside a small metal room leading off from the street. I told them I was moving to Brooklyn, and they were really excited. I realised that I had a house I was erfectly happy in, and I didn't want to move, or to share with anyone, but I also realised that if I didn't move, eventually the angry chef would find me and I'd be killed. I knew I had no choice, and I was really sad.

    Additional Comments:

The whole dream had a futuristic, almost steam-punk style to it. Everything was metal or glass, and everything was really compact, like it was trying to combat overcrowding. In reality I've never been to New York, Brooklyn, or even America, so no idea where those themes came from.
