I had something wrong with my teeth, and I had booked an appointment for some treatment at the dentist. I knew the appointment was going to be long, as I needed major work done, and I had to be there at 3pm. The dentist had recently relocated to a new building in a large city. I went to the city with my parents, and we spent the morning shopping, then shortly before 3, I left them and went to the dentist. The receptionist told me to go downstairs and sit in the waiting room, which I did. Another patient came out of the surgery, and sat in a chair. I recognised her as my friend from primary school, Jessica. I tried to say hello, but she didn't acknowledge me. I realised that there was something wrong with her - she seemed totally spaced out. I thought she must have been given gas and air by the dentist. After a while, the dentist came out into the waiting room - he was an attractive Indian man. I grabbed my bag, ready to go in, but instead he called Jessica's name. She tried to stand, and collapsed on him, mumbling deleriously. He helped her to walk back into the surgery. I realised he must have sent her out to the waiting room in order to give the drugs time to work.
I suddenly noticed that I needed the toilet. I was worried about leaving the waiting room in case I missed my appointment, but I figured I had some time since Jessica had only just gone in. I ran up the stairs to the toilets, and a woman managed to get to them just before me. I said "No!!", worried that she would make me late, but she apologised and said she'd be quick. I was waiting outside the door, and there was suddenly a really strong wind blowing through the room. The door kept blowing open, so I held it closed for the woman. Eventually she came out and I went in. I locked the door, and it stayed closed. There was a load of junk in the room, so I had to sit sideways on the toilet. I left, and another woman went in, and started complaining about something. I went back in, and the toilet was all backed up - it hadn't been when I'd left it, it had been perfectly clean. I couldn't stand and argue, so I headed back to the waiting room.
I sat for ages - it was now almost 4pm - and I was starting to get fed up, so I went to the receptionist and asked her if she knew when I was going to get to see the dentist. She asked me to take a seat, and said she'd get someone to let me know. After a few minutes, two men in suits appeared, and one said "You would have seen your dentist at 3pm if you'd bothered to turn up". I explained that I'd been here since before 3, and the receptionist had sent me downstairs to wait. The man said that the dentists were upstairs, they had no idea who the man downstairs was, but he certainly wasn't a dentist.
Additional Comments:
...So what was he doing to Jessica??

I'd had fixed braces put on my top and bottom teeth, and I was really self-conscious about them. I'd
had braces when I was younger, but I was really aware of the fact that very few people my age had
them, and I was worried it would put people off me. I saw my friend, Shaun, and I went over to talk to
him. He didn't know about the braces, and I was really nervous about what he'd think of them. I
opened my mouth to speak to him, but when he saw the braces he screamed and started running
away. I ran after him, shouting that it was just me and I needed to talk to him, but he just kept running.
I got really upset and thought I was going to cry. I saw a guy I work with, Craig, and went to talk to
him. He asked me what was wrong, and I explained it to him. He asked to see the braces properly, so I
bared my teeth at him. He looked really closely, then shouted "hey, that's mine!". He grabbed the top
set of braces from my middle teeth, and he pulled. I felt the glue rip the metal off of all my teeth, and
when it got to the back of my mouth, the teeth that had the brackets round just got ripped out. Craig
held up the brace, complete with my teeth at either end, dripping blood. It seemed much bigger now it
was out of my mouth. He took it and walked away, and I just sat on the floor and cried.

I was at work, and it was the morning after a big night out. The guy who sits opposite me, Rich, was
rummaging through the cupboards behind me, and I was trying to tell him about something I'd done
while I was out the night before. He wasn't really listening, then he told me he was sorry, but he had to
go and do something, then he walked off. Two fireman walked into my part of the office, and started
doing a safety inspection. One of them looked at our air conditioning unit, and said that they might need
to evacuate us because it looked dangerous. The second fireman told him not to bother, saying he was
sure it would be okay.
They left, and I got up to go and talk to my supervisor. Suddenly, I could taste blood in my mouth. I
put my hand to my mouth, and realised that one of my teeth was wobbling really badly. It was in the
centre of the bottom row, and as I held my mouth, it fell right out of its socket. I took it out of my
mouth, and spat the blood on the floor. My nose had started bleeding by this point too. My mouth kept
bleeding, so I rushed into the toilets. There was a man in there, who I knew was my dad, even though
I'd never seen him before. Rich was in one of the toilet cubicles, and I think he was being sick. The
man was his dad too. It seemed perfectly normal that we were brother and sister, and it felt like we'd
grown up together. I was trying to tell my dad about my tooth, and also about the same thing I was
trying to tell Rich earlier on. At the same time, Rich was trying to tell him something, and he was torn
as to who to listen to. Eventually, my mouth stopped bleeding, and I went back out into the office. I
poured a glass of water and drank it all. I couldn't stop poking my tongue in the gap where my tooth
used to be.
Additional Comments:
I know that tooth loss is one of those stereotypical dreams which crop up quite frequently, but I've
never dreamt about it before. I had a tooth taken out from the bottom before having a brace fitted, so I
have an odd number of teeth on the bottom row - the one which fell out in the dream was right in the
centre of my mouth, where there actually is a tooth. When I woke up, I'd bitten my tongue, which is
probably why I could taste the blood so vividly in my dream.
