I was at my friend Sam's house, and we'd been having a heart to heart. i think I'd confessed something to her which I thought would be a big deal, but she'd taken it really well. She invited me to stay for dinner, and asked if I'd mind going to find her husband Rich, and their son while she started cooking. She told me they'd gone to the beach, which was only a few minutes walk away, so I left to find them. I reached the beach, and saw Rich playing with his son in the water. I waited for them to come onto the sand, but they walked right past me and didn't see me. They went and sat on a wall nearby, so I went and sat next to Rich, but he still didn't notice me - he was preoccupied with something his son was doing. Eventually, I spoke to him, and he turned round and was surprised to see me. I told him Sam and I had been having an argument, then I realised argument was the wrong word, but I couldn't think of how best to describe the discussion. I told him she'd sent me to find them, and tell them it was time to go home for dinner. While they were packing their stuff away, Rich asked me if I was ok, and I told him I thought I was going crazy. The dream then cut to an image that was apparently in my mind, of hundreds of tiny, multicoloured balls of fur, with eyes, bounding their way up a white metal staircase. They seemed to be climbing up tp a waterslide. At various points, the staircase split, and some of the balls went down stairs instead of up, and this apparently meant that my mind was working backwards. It also had something to do with my feet, but I have no idea how.
A little later, I met up with a friend called Luke, who I hadn't seen for many years. We started chatting, and ended up discovering that we could both sing really well, and we decided to form a band. The dream cut to around a year later, and we were now part of a really successful band. There were two other members - another childhood friend of Luke and I, and a guy who appeared to be a younger version of Michael Cera, who was out guitarist. We had just come off stage from a huge gig, and were in our dressing room. It had a large communal area, and a row of cubicles where we could change individually. The Michael Cera guy had become the most famous of the band, and had turned into a total idiot, who took a lot of drugs. The other guy would often team up with him, and they would both be really mean to Luke and I. Luke was my only friend left. We entered the dressing room, and the Michael Cera gay came up behind me and started hugging me, and looking over my shoulder. I couldn't figure out what was going on, until Luke pointed out that he was trying to look down my top. He laughed and called me a slut. I shrugged him off and got really annoyed - it was the latest in a long line of inappropriate behaviour, and I was at breaking point. The three guys went to their cubicles to get changed, and someone else came in. I realised it was my friend Martin, who I hadn't seen for a couple of years. We chatted, and he said I looked sad, but I didn't want to talk about it. He came up behind me and put his arms round me, and my first thought was that he was doing the same thing that the Michael Cera guy had done, but then I realised that he was actually just giving me a genuine hug. I suddenly felt overwhelmed, both that someone had made a nice gesture to me, and that someone had touched me in a gentle way, and I told him everything that had happened. He was furious, and immediately kicked in the doors of the cubicles, and started beating up both the guys who had been horrible to me. After he left, Luke gave me a lift home to my parents' house, where I spent the night.
The next morning, my mum asked me to help her with a plan. A man had done something - possibly conned her or attacked her - and now she wanted to kill him to get revenge. We knew he was going to be in the next town over at a dentist appointment, so we were going to drive there. We only had a short window of time, but my mum was sitting around in her pyjamas and refused to get dressed, no matter how much I kept nagging and begging. I went into the kitchen and found a poisonous powder which could be mixed into water to make a lemon drink, and this was how we planned to kill the man. While I was there, my friend Mark knocked on the door and told me that he and his girlfriend Nicky were going to a fairground, and wondered if I would like to go. I did, but I said no and he left. After a while, he returned (it was too late for us to get to the next town and kill the man now, and my mum was still in her pyjamas), and asked if I would please come to the fairground. He said that he'd told Nicky he wanted to go, and she'd told him they were going to the theatre instead. They ended up arguing, and she told him to go to the fair without her, but he really didn't want to go alone. I agreed to go, and told him I'd pick him up in an hour. When I got to his house, I discovered he had been kidnapped by an old lady - possibly a witch - and imprisoned at the top of a tall tower. He was held in place by a large strip of plastic which was wrapped around his waist. Another person was strapped to the other end, and it was weighted in the middle like a seesaw. I somehow knew that Nicky had arranged this because she was annoyed that he hadn't gone to the play with her, so I was reluctant to help unless I got caught by the witch too.

I was in a car park with a group of friends. It was starting to get dark, but we were about to go shopping. We hadn't invited my friend Ceilidh, and we were all on the lookout for her in case she saw us out without her. We went inside a big shopping mall and wandered round for a while. The mall looked really modern and nice, but at one end I saw a really intimidating concrete area. I needed the toilet, and I knew the toilets were through a tunnel in this older section. I ended up wandering round these corridors for what seemed like forever - I was scared because I'd heard stories that they were haunted. I finally found the toilets, used them, and started trying to find my way back to the main shops. Eventually I ended up in a shop which sold incense and candles, and I was with my parents instead of my friends. There was a display of the most beautiful candles I had ever seen - they were all sorts of complex shapes and colours, coated with varnishes, and inlaid with all sorts of jewels and beads and mirrors. I desperately wanted to buy one, but I was afraid to touch them - they were like pieces of art. my stepdad stood with me and he said he wished he'd brought a camera with him, because nobody would believe how pretty the candles were without seeing them.
The dream cut, and I was now in some kind of government building. I think I was a prisoner or a convict, but I had been given special permission to come to this building to get married. I was wearing an antique wedding dress, covered with beads, and I had to hold up the front of it so I could walk. Instead of a normal wedding, you rented a booth for 9 minutes, which you went in by yourself, and performed some ritual along to instructions that were piped in. I went into my cubicle, and managed to complete my "wedding" in 6 minutes. The door to the booth started opening, but I was grabbing it and closing it again. I kept shouting that I'd oaid for my 9 minutes, I wasn't going to leave with 3 minutes left on the clock. After the clock counted down, I left the booth and went to collect my certificate from a man stood at the other end of the room. We got chatting, and he pulled a DVD out and asked if I'd ever seen it. It was Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. I told him that I hadn't seen it, but I'd seen all of Miyazaki's other films, and would be very interested to watch it.
The dream cut again, and I was flying through the clouds with this man. He was sitting on some kind of flying device, and I was sitting on his lap - there was nothing romantic about it, he was just helping me. I'd been told to find a woman named Wendell, who was some kind of white witch, and she would apparently help me with something. We had searched for days and days, when we finally saw her in the distance. She was flying on a giant bird-like creature, and when she saw us, she came close to speak. She was a blonde woman in a purple dress, and seemed very friendly and happy. She told me to take her hand and go with her. Just as I was about to, Maggie Smith appeared next to me. She was floating in the sky, and I think she was my mother. Her hair was long and white, and she wore a white dress with a seashell necklace. She looked really ethereal and beautiful. She begged me not to go with Wendell, she said something bad would happen. I knew that going with Wendell was dangerous, but that it was the only way for me to achieve some huge goal. I think my mother knew that I would go with Wendell, but she wanted to make her thoughts known, and have a chance to say goodbye to me.
Another cut, and I was now living in a house with Wendell. I had to have an operation on my eyes to give me some kind of second sight. The doctor came in and started lecturing me about how I should only ever go to him for this surgery. He said lots of other companies offered it, but their patients always ended up blind, and the only ones who regained their sight were the ones who went to him later on. He then showed my a diagram of what he would do to my eyes. It was a side-view, like you see in opticians' offices. It showed his finger coming through the back of my eye, and touching the inside of the front of my eye. Another finger was point-to-point with the first, but on the outside of the front of my eye. I was really scared, and desperately didn't want the operation, and I suddenly realised that my mother had been right all along.

I was staying in some kind of holiday park with my parents. There were various friends and colleagues there too - some were on holiday like us, and others were living there in small chalets. I had this ability to see ghosts, and when they appeared to me, I could allow other people to see them too. My cat had died, and he kept appearing to me as a ghost (he's still alive in reality). I kept seeing a swirl of black and white, then he'd appear, walk round for a few steps, then disappear into another swirl. He'd then reappear in the same manner a few centimetres away. If I picked him up, he would stay solid until I put him down again.
I had gone to meet my parents in a small common room. There were booths along one side - my parents were sitting in a booth - sofas along another wall, and a coffee table in the middle of the room. There was some kind of talent show going on, but I was late arriving so I didn't have an act. There was a man hosting the contest, and he told me that some friends of mine had said I was able to join their group, and he gestured to one of the corners. My friend Rich was there, with a man I didn't recognise, and a woman I hate, Tina. They asked me to lay on the floor on my back. Tina then leaned over me, Rich knelt up next to me, and the man sat on a chair next to him. They were all wearing glitter eyeshadow - Rich had white, Tina had gold, and the man had blue. When the act started, they all started singing really badly and out of tune, and I was embarassed to be part of it. Halfway through, Tina slumped forwards onto me, like she'd collapsed. I whispered "Are you ok? Are you dead?" - nobody else could have heard me - before I realised that this was part of the act. However, she then stood up and started asking me if I was ok, and asking what I'd said to her. The act was ruined because she'd interrupted the singing. She expected everyone to be annoyed with me for distracting her, but everyone backed me up, saying I had no idea she was going to slump forward, and besides, nobody had heard my comments, only hers. She went and sat on the sofa, looking really annoyed, then really upset. She picked up some pink lipstick from the table, put it on, then slammed it down. Everyone was looking at her, staring daggers at her, and I was smirking at her, because I was happy that I'd made her feel bad. Eventually, she got up and left, looking as though she was about to burst into tears. Just then, my cat materialised, and everyone forgot about Tina and started playing with the ghost cat.
A little later, I left to go and find a toilet. I was wandering around outside, when I realised that I was wearing a horrible nightdress. It was like a tshirt, but came down past my knees, and was made from some horrible polyester fabric. It was white, with a purple trim, and some printed picture over the chest. There were some kids playing basketball nearby, and I didn't want to walk past them because I knew they'd laugh at me. I saw a chalet nearby, and I realised it belonged to a colleague of mine, Jacqui. I thought she'd let me use her toilet, so I went inside. I looked around, but I couldn't find her, then it dawned on me that she was dead too (again, still alive in real life). I looked round the chalet for a toilet, but it didn't seem to have one, and I was getting desperate.
As I went to leave, I saw my friend Tara sitting at a desk by the door. I knew she was a ghost (and she is deceased in real life), so I went over to talk to her. She kept smiling at me, and asking me how I was. I told her I was fine, and she just kept telling me that everything was going to be fine, and it would all work out for the best.
