I was out walking through town with a female friend. It was the middle of the day, but the town was really quiet. I had a strange feeling that something terrible had recently happened, like a nuclear war or a major natural disaster. As we walked, I realised I needed the bathroom. We were far from any public toilets, so we went in the back door of a nearby dance school, and snuck into the ladies toilets. The walls in the bathroom were painted pale pink, and all the woodwork and the cubicles were painted black. There were two cubicles, one was out of order, and one was occupied, so I waited by the sinks. After a few minutes, a woman came out and headed over to wash her hands. She was quite chubby, with long brown hair, and she was very pretty, very well dressed, and had perfect makeup. When she saw me, she gave me a filthy look, then smirked. I realised I knew her from somewhere - I thought it was probably school because I knew I hadn't seen her in years. I also knew she hated me, but I had no idea why. I tried to ignore her and went into the cubicle she had just vacated. When I got to the toilet, I realised it was stuffed with a stripy knitted scarf and hat. I looked back at the girl, and she smirked again, and left. I realised that she had stuffed the things into the toilet so that I wouldn't be able to use it. I dithered for a few minutes, wondering what to do, and then my friend and I left.

We walked through town again until we came to my old school (which has been knocked down in real life). The sports hall was open and there was an exercise class taking place, so my friend and I headed inside. There were about 200 people inside, all stood perfectly evenly spaced. People at different parts of the hall were wearing different coloured tshirts. We joined the orange section, which was in the middle, next to the doors. Everyone was given a basketball, and we then had to follow a complex routine which involved bouncing and dribbling the ball in various poses. Everyone managed to do this in perfect synchronicity, except for me. I couldn't follow the routine, and I kept dropping my ball, and having to chase it around the hall every time it rolled away from me. My friend and I started laughing because I was so terrible, and eventually we were in such fits of hysterical giggles that we couldn't carry on.

Nearby was a young Latino boy, maybe around 12 years old. He was following the instructor's pose, which involved bending forward at an angle. I recognised an expression on his face and realised he was going to throw up. I have a phobia of vomit, so I knew I had to get out of the hall. I grabbed my friend, and we left. Just as we walked out, I heard the boy vomit, but I was fairly calm in the knowledge that I'd gotten out in time. A few minutes later, a man came out holding a black binbag, which I knew contained the vomit. He started walking towards me, so I ran. I knew he wasn't deliberately chasing me - if anything he hadn't even noticed me, but for some reason no matter which direction I went, he went the same way. I was running and he was walking, but he somehow kept the same pace as me, and always stayed a coupleof metres behind me. Eventually, I ran behind the hall, into a tiny alleyway. The floor was made up of large boulders, so it was uneven and a bit dangerous. The man with the bag followed me. When I was about 2/3 of the way down the alleyway, I heard a thud, so I turned round to see that the man had slipped on the rocks, and fallen over. The bag had split, and vomit had spilled out onto the rocks. The man saw this too, knew there was nothing he could do to clean it up, so he headed back the way he came. I now had no way to get back down the alleyway - if I tried to go backwards I'd have to walk through the vomit, and there was no way I was going to do that. I didn't know what would be at the other end of the alley, but I had no choice other than to go there, so I kept going forwards.

I was at home, and I really needed to go to the supermarket because there was no food in the house. I had received a letter from the bank that morning saying that something was wrong with my credit card. Although the card itself hadn't expired, the ability to use money on the card had expired. I phoned the bank and they said they couldn't see anything wrong with it. I decided to go to the supermarket anyway, but I still had a nagging feeling that my card wasn't going to work.

I got to the supermarket and filled up a trolley full of food. I did my best to get all the cheapest options, just in case the card failed. I got to the till and was served by a young man. The shopping came to £36. I gave him my card, and as I'd expected, it failed. I asked him to try again, but it failed again. I knew I would have to phone the bank again when I got home, but in the meantime I really needed to get some food. I think I had children in the dream, and I needed to get food for them. I looked in my purse and I had a £10 note. I asked the man to help me pick as much food from the trolley as I could for £10, but he said he couldn't because everything had already been scanned through. My only option was to pay for it. I explained the situation and by this time I was starting to get a bit teary through frustration and embarassment. I asked if there was anything he could do to help me. He explained that every till had an overflow safe which was used to store the money that the cashier accidentally gained through giving incorrect change etc. He told me he would look in the till. There was exactly £36 in there, so he took it out and used it to pay for my shopping. I was so grateful I could have kissed him. I finished shopping and left, promising myself that I would write a letter to his manager, commending him for helping me, without actually stating where he got the money from.

Back at home, I met up with a female friend of mine. In one corner of my living room was a huge glass-fronted freezer, with 4 doors, like you'd find in a supermarket. The bottom left side of the freezer cabinet was frosted up, and my friend pointed this out to me. I chipped away at the ice, revealing piles of ice cream tubs. Somehow, the items in the freezer represented people in a nearby prison, and the ice cream tubs were visitors. The fact that they had been trapped in the ice meant the visitors in the actual prison had been unable to leave. I told my friend this was extremely dangerous, and if there had been a fire then the visitors would have died. I knew I needed to have a very serious conversation with whoever was in charge of defrosting the freezer.

My friend and I needed to get changed to go to a formal event. I put on a pink gown with 6 inch black stilettoes. The shoes were amazing and I loved them. He had to walk down about 8 flights of stairs to get to the floor where the event was being held. There was one lowere level, but this was where the bathrooms and cloakrooms were. I didn't realise this at first, and started walking down the last flight of stairs, but I realised quickly and headed back up. I bumped into a girl I knew from college called Amanda. She was wearing a white gown with a gold pattern on it. It was a nice dress, but she didn't look right in it. It was too big and she just looked like a little girl who was wearing her mum's clothes. She looked me up and down as she passed, like she was judging me, but I knew I was looking really good. I went back up to meet my friends, and we had to walk up one last flight of stairs. We met with two more friends on the stairs. I kept stopping to lift my foot up and show them my shoes, but because of the angle of the stairs, they couldn't see them. I made them all stop once we reached the top so that I could show them my shoes, and they all agreed that they were amazing.

I was away for the weekend with my friend Sam. I think we had been at a rock festival of some description. There weren't all that many people there, but it was being televised, and was a huge TV event, watched the world over. My other friend Elaine (Sam's mother) had told us that she would be at the festival too, though she was going alone. We had hoped to meet up with her, but we hadn't managed to find her. I got a text message from her telling us that she'd decided to pursue her dream of becoming a band manager, and that she had made friends with a famous band who were going to give her her big break.

Later on that evening, Sam and I went back to our hotel room and turned on the TV so that we could watch the televised footage of what had been going on at the other multiple stages at the festival. The TV guide told us that one channel was showing the band that Elaine was now managing, so we decided to watch that hoping to catch a glimpse of her. We flicked to the right channel to see a shot of the stage, with Elaine standing there setting up the microphones - we were really excited to see her. She was wearing a pinstrip miniskirt with stockings, and a fitted pinstrip jacket with a flared back, over a red and white bra. Her hair and make-up had all been done, and she looked amazing. The band started to appear at the side of the stage, and they were all wearing similar outfits. Elaine went to leave, but the crowd shouted for her to stay and sing a song. She told them she couldn't sing, but the band insisted she stay and at least try. They started playing music for her, and she started singing. She had the most amazing voice, very rocky, and the crowd went wild. Sam and I were stunned, because we'd never heard her sing, but we were so excited to see her doing so well. By the time she finished singing, the crowd were going wild, and wanted to see her more than the band they'd actually paid to see. Sam and I realised that we'd just witnessed Elaine's big break, and we were really excited and happy for her.
