At some point I become lucid, and decide now would be a good time to look further into a recurring
dream theme that I recently thought might have a connection to a past life. I have not had the dream
since considering this and meditating on it, but sometimes I just don't have the dream for a few days,
so I haven't ruled out the possibility that I made a mistake or the connection isn't from that life. As
soon as I tried I felt myself waking up, and I try to relax to stay asleep. Unfortunately my cat chose
THIS time to noisily groom herself. I was still seeing images before my eyes....but I kept hearing my
cat licking her fur in the background. That become overwhelmingly distracting, and I woke up.
However, I soon go back to sleep and I try this again. I mean to look into this particular past life, and
immediately I feel like I am flying. I am looking down on a bunch of very small island and on each
island is an enormous and very beautiful tree. The islands are very close together and there seems to
be a nice even mix of islands to water ratio. I try to land on an island but I over shoot them quickly. I
wake up again.
After falling asleep again I try one more time, and I am in total darkness. I try to command myself to
look into a past life. Nothing happens, just darkness. I touch my nose, which is one of the things I have
been trying to remember to do, as it helps me identify myself...as sometimes I don't seem to have a
body, and touching my nose make me aware of myself. I forget how, but I thought somehow my nose
was not the right shape.
Additional Comments:
In a recent meditation I encounter a guide and she takes me to a place that I would describe as a very
old forest full of huge trees. She tells me that each tree represents one life time. When I touch a tree I
get an impression of something about that life time. I think the trees on the islands is a variation of the
trees from my meditation. Maybe the island trees, however, were someone else's forest, because of all
the water. I am not sure. I am just guessing. I don't think such a landscape exists anywhere.

(meh, I don't feel like writing this dream down, but I had better record it incase it turns out to be
valuable later)
I am in a mall which is also a place where people have apartments. I come into someone apartment,
and I feel sorry for them because their floor is unfinnished very rough wood, and to make it worse it
wasn't even even. I am frustrated for him. I think he says he's waiting his turn to get his floor fixed. I
forget if I ask his permission, but using magic I level the floor, and tile it with something shiney and
expensive looking. When I am done it looks really good, and the man is very pleased. I feel really
pleased with it to and want to do this some more. So I go out into the main court yard of the mall.
Here I encounter some sort of diety. He looks like somekind of cat/human, I think a leapard or maybe
it was a tiger. Anyway he is a very foul tempered creature and I try to appease him by magically
decorating the court yard floor with a very impressive and handsom rendering of him on the floor tiles.
He doesn't see me at all, but he's really happy with the tribute to him. I am happy because it looks
really nice and was a huge improvement from the rather dull and uninspiring floor from before. I don't
remember anything else about this dream.
Additional Comments:
I can sometimes do magic in dreams, but I didn't become lucid.

I am at work and for whatever reason I have these really large buttons, or they were supposed to be
buttons off a coat, but they were ridiculously large, they were like drawer pulls, and colored like cloudy
amber. They looked dusty to me, so I was trying to clean them off with a cloth, but it seemed the more
I tried to clean them they worse they would look. It seemed the "buttons" were actually made of tightly
wound thread of dense fiber of some kind so when I tried to dust them they were actually being torn,
and they unwound like yarn balls or something. I was quite upset because I knew these things
belonged to someone, and I thought they would be mad when they see how I ruined their buttons, even
though they were very ugly to begin with.
