I dreamt that I was just walking up to my house. In this dream it's the house I grew up in when I was a kid. My parents still live there, but the place isn't quite like how it was in real life. There are two cars out front. One of them parked in the road and another one up on those metal things when you need to boost up your car to work on the underside. I notice the car doesn't have tires, and there is a steady drip of gasoline coming from the back and leaking into the road. I run the rest of the way to the house, and immediately dive into the garage to look for something...anything at all, to catch the gasoline. The garage is a mess, there is crap everywhere, but I find a plastic coffee can with a few nuts and bolts in it and some short thick plastic coated plastic wire and dump it on the floor. It's pretty small, and won't hold much gas, but I could at least catch SOME of it while I went back to look for a bucket or something else bigger.

In real life we had converted the garage into a living area.

Back to the dream. I run into the house and tell about the leaking gas, but no one helps out. I also see that there is a slab leak in the house. Water is pouring in from a hole in the floor. I also notice other leaks coming up out of the ground outside. I begin to panic. I don't know what to do or how to handle this mess, and what's more I see through the window out the back of the house that there are police on the street opposite us, and I hope they won't come around to our street. They would surely want to know who is responsible for the gasloine spill. Then I am also thinking about how monsterous the repair and clean up of all this crap is going to be.

I don't remember how the dream ends.

It's one of those periods where I just can't get up the gumption to record my dreams. So here the small bits that really stick out for over the last several nights.

Many of them have had something to do with things observed under water. The earliest dream being the one where I am near a flooded area and I look over to see an ape men wading through the water. They were about as tall as modern humans but all covered with hair, and had ape like faces. I found them, for some reason, really repulsive. I get the feeling they're looking for food or something else useful in the water. The water was brown with mud.

In a dream the following night I seem to be floating above a body of greenish water, from algea, I suppose, and seeing strange reptilian shapes. Then I seem to be indoors in a room with a window facing outside to a small tributary or something of the sort, when a plesiosaur attacks the room. It seem to be at first inside the house, trying to barge in the door. I know it's a very strong animal and the only chance I have is to somehow wedge the door shut, by stacking stuff completely from the door to the walls. But then it's outside the house trying to get in through the window. I don't have a plan for defending myself from THAT attack, though I try to shove stuff up against the window. There is someone else in the room with me trying to help, but I don't remember what they looked like or anything. But the plesiosaur seems to have figured out that the window also opens outwards, towards itself. Now we were really screwed. I wake up before it gets us, though.

The next night I dream observing a automobile. It looks a bit like a station wagon, and very boxy, and I see it driving under water. The water is perfectly crystal clear, and at first I am confused. I realize there is something funny about what I am seeing, but it doesn't dawn on me right away. Then for some reason I start humming the tune to the A-Team, and cheering on the underwater car...yeah, I don't get it, either. I also seem to feel like I am inside the car at the same time I am outside of it observing the car.

In last nights dream I recall being a giant. I am feeling very angry and I run outside (presumably from some indoor location) because there is a man I want to kill. I forget why I am so pissed off, but I have no time to look for something to kill him with, but on the way to find him I look to the ground and with a old boot in some mud I find a large lump of gold. I think it is just the right size for bashing his skull in, so I pick it up and keep running, but then my boots find a muddy patch. I slip at first I am annoyed because now on top of being really mad, I am also now covered with mud. However, I find the clayey mud difficult to step out of, and I seem to be sinking in it rather quickly. I am no longer angry, and am now concerned about not sinking in the mud. I don't remember anything else.

Mud and water are both very prevelant and recurring themes in my dreams as of late.

The Fine Art of Row Boat Maintinance

I am at a very busy pier. It's part cement and then where it hangs over the water it's made of sturdy unfinished wood worn smooth by use.

The dock is packed, literrally side by side with food vendors. They don't have tables, but display their food items on a blanket in front of them. It's a really terrible set up, as it's pretty much impossible to walk in front of the blankets. The vendors have left no space between their tightly packed blankets and the very edge of the pier.

I am at a spot where there are no vendors, but it's a network of smaller plank ways so people can get to and from their boats. I only see row boats. There is one man I am talking to, and he's on one of the rowboats, standing up and seems to be complaining about something. He pulls off what looks like a wet sheet of plaster from the boat, and it exposes a bright white...something underneath. There is something weird about the row boat, it's not quite right, but it seems the man is annoyed because I was supposed to help do something and I had forgotten.

He then wants me to get a boat that's wandered down the peir some, because it wasn't tied up right, I suppose. It's really just a matter of going down the pier, and pushing it back, which I could do from the peir.

I have to walk daintily around the vendor's wares, trying very hard not to step on anything or knock anything into the water. I finally reach the tiny purple row boat, and I reach out to give it a good push back to where it belongs, but then someone else in a row boat comes by just then and with the power of their oars, causes the previously within reach rowboat to pitch suddenly away towards open water.

I now am going to have to get into the water and get the boat that way. However, I stagger and fall into the water instead, and sink like a rock. At first I am dazzled, and don't respond. I am looking up sinking backwards, and see the distortion of light through the water, before I realize I better act or I am going to drown, so I scrabble upwards, finding it very hard to do so, my body is thin and devoid of any fat, so I am like a nail being flung into the water. I finally manage to get enough mementum to swim, and go after the boat, but it keep drifting away from me, but thankfully it's going in the right direction.

I notice the other row boats and finally realize what's so weird about them. Many of them are ridiculously small, and they have flat bottoms, but are otherwise the right shape. There are even some "boats" that are tar covered barrels with an oar. I thought I would like to try out these funny boats. I saw one tiny boat being used, like a little trailer, to transport some green hay. I figured that's what all the tiny boats must be for, they're not for actually getting in and rowing, they're little boat versions of trailer hitches.

I forget if I ever get the purple row boat back to the man who had asked me to get it for him.
