Red Thorn Weeds

This is a very early dream, so some of the details are lost. I seem to be inside, and notice that weeds have grown in through the floor and are touching my bed. I wondered how I had not noticed them before. Also this is taking place in my old bedroom when I was living with my parents. I am going to go look for a pair of scissors to cut the weeds with, as I notice the weeds are covered with very small bright red hair like thorns. I was going to have to be very very careful handling these weeds and removing them. However my mom seems to come in and she begins to remove the bed clothes, and I tell her to stop, but she goes and does it anyway, and because the weeds were touching hundreds of thorns get on the bed clothes. I forget how it happens but I get an arm full of the thorns, too, and it hurts, and then I start to remove the thin thorns one by one. It's simply agonizing.

Black Pancakes and Eggs (fragments, too)

Date of dream: Thursday, July 13, 2006

I am in my house (a dream house, not my real one) and I am cooking pancakes and eggs. Neither is looking very good, my pancakes are turning black, but even so they still seem runny. The eggs look rather dark, without actually being burned. I think the pan is just dirty with burned food from previous meals or something. Something about the house seems wrong, like I don't belong here, even though it's my house.

1.) I am in a shopping store, and come next to a display case. At first I notice it's full of really beautiful figurines. I admire them. For a momment I am distracted, and when I look at them again, I notice they are really not pretty, as a matter of fact I find them down right ugly. The figurines depict animals. They were supposed to be stylized so they look cute, but progressively they seemed to get more and more weird and repulsive. I also notice they cost a lot of money. I see the sculptor took great pains to make every detail in sharp contrast the anuses of the figurines. I find this silly and juvinile. Even pimples and other blemishes stick out on the over-priced figures. I wonder who in their right mind would put out that kind of money for such ugly things. When I start to walk away from the display I walk into a woman who has buttons to give away. I accept one. She puts one on the sleeve of my left arm. It's a rather large button. I don't see what's on it. I do see some smaller buttons with pictures of animals on them. One of them has a stag on it.

2.) I find these large yellow worms on a wooden deck. They're not really living things, but they do act like them. They contract and expand quickly by either getting wet or drying out. They must be getting wet and drying out very quickly back to back, because they seem to be walking around, like inch worms. Somehow one of these things gets on me. It's all spiney and yellow. Suddenly it's like a lot of yellow thorns marching up my right arm. I feel pain, and it's horrible. Like a thousand teeth chewing at it. The thorns move around, as if alive. I seem to get an impression that they will follow a certain something, and I can't recall what that is anymore, but I try to trick it into marching right off my arm. In the meantime I have to endure the pain of them sinking in and out of my skin.

3.) I am in a toy store, and for some reason I move around by hopping like a rabbit. I keep calling for someone named Sonji. I run into some other people also looking for him, and they sneer at me. Then I figure out everyone in here is looking for him. I think I just call out, "hey, who here is looking for Sonji?" and everyone raises their hand. I complain that he owes me one hundred dollars, and that's why I was looking for him. I knew that wasn't true, but I thought I could gain some leverage by saying that. Someone else made some sort of comment about that, and although I am not sure why, I didn't like the implication of it, and regretted saying what I did, like it was embarrassing somehow. But I pretend not to have noticed the comment, and keep looking for him.

From the same dream I leave the store, and I don't think I ever find Sonji. I do see a friend of mine, and he's found a rabbit. The rabbit has somesort of thorny vine around it. The plant is so covered with thorns that the rabbit is stuck to it. I see my friend try to tear the vine off the rabbit, and by doing do he is tearing off a lot of the rabbit's fur. I suggest smearing vasaline all over the place were the vine sinks into the fur, and mashing it around. Doing so greases up the thorns, and we are able to just gently squeeze out the vine from the rabbit's fur, thereby leaving its fur intact, instead of ripping it all out.

    Additional Comments:

The only Sonji I know comes from a cartoon, One Piece, but this Sonji seemed to have nothing to do with the animated show.

    Griffin, I

I was standing on a slanted roof top. I was a griffin, but I was a terribly flyer. I was trying to keep away from some vampires. When one of them came on to the roof top to attack me, I had no choice but to leap off the very high roof. I began to sink to the groud because my wings just were not strong enough to carry me. I might have been a very fat griffin, I don't know, but to help decrease the speed of my fall I grab a tree branch which was unfortunately covered with very many little black thorns, so I talon got ripped open bad, but I did get back on the ground without breaking anything. I limped around looking for someone who could maybe put a bandage on my talon. No one is really upset about me walking among them.

I finally find what I thought was doctor's office. I read sign that said they specialised in these certain sorts of injuries, and there was a list, and there were posters here and there with the types of injuries the doctor would treat. They were weird though, like one of them said they would treat injuries inflicted by Dons. I press myself into the door to open it, and see the office walls are covered with many full color pictures of injuries treated here, and they were horrific. I could not stand to look at them. They were the wounds of tourture. One image I remember very clearly was skin and flesh cut away from the top part of a hand, reveling the white bones underneath, as if someone peeled the flesh right off the bones. Then I get to the actual waiting room, and I see there are about five people ahead of me, and many of them are seriously wounded. I noticed they had injuries like the ones I couldn't stand to look at. I decided then that maybe my torn talon wasn't so bad after all, and I wanted to leave, but suddenly I notice there are a great many more people here than there was before. They were packed in here. I began to get very paniced. I noticed many of these people also were suffering from horrific wounds, and they were all pressing against me, forcing me to look staight into all the pain and suffering. I began to shreik and reach as hard as I could for the door knob, and bullying my way past all these people. I finally got out and ran away. The dream was so alarming, I woke up feeling unwell. It's like my dreams are getting more potent or something. It's really awful.

    Additional Comments:

The reoccuring part of the dream is encountering images of torture.
