I think I am at a bus terminal or something. The place is bustling with people. I forget what I am doing here myself. I do finally sit down somewhere next to a tall young man who is intensely looking at some old yellowed document. It looks like a newspaper, and that he's attempted to preserve it by wrapping it with cellophane tape. I notice the tape has lost its stickyness in most locations and was now seperating from the yellowed newsprint. I forget exactly what we talked about, but he tells me more about the paper. It's written in a language I don't understand. I guess it's Arabic, and I remember seeing the year printed on it, and it said "18__" The young man was very proud of this paper. He explained what it was, but I did not understand, and I wanted to tell him that if he really wants to preserve it, he should not wrap it with tape, but he was getting really annoying when he mistook my friendliness with "hitting on him." I no longer wanted to help him with his stupid paper. I can't remember how the conversation went along, but he kept trying to put his arm around me, and I would tell him no, finally I started to really chew him out, and when he still kept smiling like an idiot and again tried to touch me I dumped a cold soda on his head, and then waited to see if he would still misinterperate. He seemed to finally get the message, and then stayed on his side of the seat.

Additional Comments:

The lousy preservation job on the document seemed to be the most important facet of this dream.

Pig Soap in a Tape Box

I was supposed to be at my job at KB toys, but instead of toys it was actaully a library, but we were supposed to do a lot of the things that would be normal at a toy store, but other things that you might actually do at a library. So I am working in a library in the dream and I come across these plastic boxes that have metal clasps to keep them closed. I look inside of one of them and find what looks like very old masking tape. So old that it's become dark yellow, brittle and totally useless...at least not good for taping anything, it wasn't sticky anymore. I guess that the rest of the similar boxes contain the same stuff. The tape was set in the box on a little spool, almost like if it was video tape. Anyway I bring it to Rozz's attention (he's the manager at KB toys, and he's also the manager of the libary in my dream) I ask him if this is something I could throw away since it was old and no good anymore. He takes it and looks at it, and opens up a compartment to the other side of the tape that I didn't even look under. There was a bar of soap shaped to look like two cartoon pigs (male and female). The soap looked fresh and new, a nice shiney pink color. And with it there were some pig shaped toys. I am amazed at this, thinking that if I had just thrown it out I might have thrown away these treasures. The toys looked old, but not worn out, they looked antique rather. Rozz pulls out several items fom the box, some things way too big to have fit in there. From the box also came a soft plastic pig toy that was supposed to resemble a pig child (a cartoon one) and it was supposed to go with a book about losing teeth. I took the pig toy, and I really wanted to keep it, and I think I said so, hoping Rozz would let me keep it. It was such a funny looking toy. The pig boy had his mouth open in a rather gross sneer, where all his teeth shown. I remember looking at the teeth, and thinking the mouth looked so real, like it could have been a real mouth. The teeth looked like real teeth, and the molars were all sharp and pointy looking. I felt a little repulsed by it at the same time that I liked the toy. The mouth was also shaped in a way so that the pig boy could be made to look as if he was gnawing on the little teddy bear toy held in his plastic arm. It was very weird. I played with it a little. Finally I decided I didn't want the toy after all, it was disgusting. Someone put a video tape in a VCR and everyone (me and the other workers) stopped to watch it. I don't know what we were watching and I am sure there is no such tv show that we watched but I was realy interested in it. It seemed to be some sort of sci-fi show. As each character came on the the screen I would pull out a toy figure of that character from one of the plastic boxes (like the one I found the tape it). I am not sure when I picked up another box to explore. There were very many characters that came on the screen and I pulled out a tiny beatifully made moveable figure from the box. I was so impressed with the quality of the toys, I really really really wanted to keep them all. I would pay for them if I needed to. I remember one character specifically. On the tv I saw a man dressed in blue armor (not medieval aromor, but space age sort of modern armor, and he had the number 18 in black on his right shoulder. He was bald, but he wasn't old, he was in his prime, and dressed for battle. I saw a few other similarly dressed men with numbers on their shoulders, but I couldn't tell what numbers they had on their shoulders because something was in the way (on the tv screen that is). I can't remember anything else.

    Additional Comments:

we do have a VCR at KB toys where we play one of the tapes over and over again, and often times when I am working there and have nothing to do I will stare at the tv even though I can't hear what the characters are saying. I have no idea where the soap and old brittle masking tape came from.
