I only remember being on a raft. The water seems fairly placid, so it could not have been the ocean
or a river, had to have been a swamp or lake. There are other people on the raft. I want to say they
were dressed in traditional Chinese outfits, but I can't be sure anymore. In the dream I am giving
instructions to the other people. I think there were two men. The raft is made up of three pieces,
and the pieces, if not strictly maintained, will shift and ruin the integrity of the raft. We needed
to stay a certain distance from the shore, and the potions of the raft needed to be fastened just
do. I remember there being something to keep the parts together. I just don't remember how they were
supposed to work. In any case the raft's parts keep sliding away, and someone would have to push
them back into place. I get impatient for the two men to respond when the parts begin to drift too
far from the other parts. I want them to notice on their own, and at the same time I also want them
to pay attention to how close we are to shore. I am getting pretty mad when they keep letting it get
too far. I chide them about it. We're not in any danger is the raft falls apart, but the exercise
seems extremely important. I don't remember anything else.
Hammalar- All I remember from this dream is a name, Hammalar. I was trying really hard to hold on to
the name, thinking it is important. I remember thinking that I need to write it down right away
before I forget it, but I am also very tired, and debating if maybe I can remember it after all. I
thought I had written it down, but that was a dream, and I finally wake up and write it down for
real. I hope that it's not really a corruption of the name I actually heard, though this is a
distinct possibility. If it is indeed a corruption than it will be a lot harder to trace its meaning
if it has any meaning. My best guess is that it has something to do with a past life.

This dream took place in the future. In the past candy manufactuers perfected their machines so that
their facotries could continue working (seemingly indefinitely) without human intervention, not even to
fill in materials the machines needed to make the candy. Specifically one of the machines I
encountered in an enormous windowless building was perpetually making strawberry Twizzlers. (note, I
can't stand Twizzlers of any flavour). But I am getting ahead of myself here. The dream begins before
this.
In the beginning of the dream I am floating on a raft upon a tea colored river. The other people with
me are dressed in old clothes that look like they have never been washed. I get the feeling this world
is post-world war III. The man steering and paddling the raft looks like he could use a shower and a
shave, but he wasn't filthy because he wanted to be. I think clean water and soap were scarce around
here. We hit the bank and me and the other people get off. The scruffy looking man who was steering
the raft says something about the boxes of syrup that were waiting on a dock. No one tells me what
they are, but I recognize them all the same. They're the syrup that people put into fountains to serve
fountain drinks like at movie houses and fast food restruants. This is apparently what a lot of people
are surviving on in these days. The scruffy man says the prisoners may not have any of the syrup. At
first I wonder what they will get to drink, because they needed to drink something. But I found out
very soon afterwards that there was miles worth of store houses of the syrup, and enough stored up
clean water to last what was left of this community for a very long time. It would seem there was no
looking beyond the day of when we all ran out of junk food and syrup to eat.
Now I come into the factory that made the candy. There were a few other people here with me, the
scruffy man, a teenage girl, and another man who seemed to live at the factory. The scruffy man
talked to the facotry man and the factory man said something about how this factory was X times the
size that it was before. He actually says the new size in cubic feet, but I forget what he says, but
although I only vaugely knew my math, I did know that whatever he said constituted a whole lot of
cubic feet, and that factory could easily pass as the largest building ever built in the world. It could
easily store several hundered air craft carriers, if you want to get a good idea of how big it was.
Anyway, breifly I watched how a machine packed twizzlers in a box. I was facinated, wondering
where the ingredients were stored, and how much longer it could last. In our age there was only the
food that was hrvested previous to the war left. All the trees we currently had were too young to bear
fruit, and the smaller food crops were practically non-existent. We, as a society depended on these
facotries that made candy and other junk food to survive. I didn't see one single fat person in my
dream, everyone was lean and muscular looking, even the teenage girl.
I began to walk throug the factory and I began to climb up some stairs and at one point there were
no stairs, but you had to climb up a ladder to get to the upper floor. I was already up as high as I
could go, and I watched the teenage girl climb up the ladder. Something about the way she did it was
unusual. The scruffy man commented on it, but I forget what he said. She could climb up the ladder
faster than any other normal human could, almost as if she could take the ladder running. There was
some talk of fair distribution of the food stuffs, and I can't remember any more of the dream.
Additional Comments:
Very creepy dream, I hope this doesn't have anything to do with what is to come.
