This was a middle of the night dream, and I can't remember it much. I do recall that it takes place in a shopping mall. It is a much bigger mall than I have ever actually been in, and it has at least two floors. You can see the bottom floor from the upper floors from walkways. Somewhere in the mall was a huge snake, the length of a couple school busses, and at least five feet around. Most of the dream I spent just trying to avoid it. It wasn't actively hunting me, but it would attack, and I just wanted some chicken nuggets. But I did have to fight the snake. It was black with golden yellow eyes, and moved very quickly. There was a few other people in the mall, but it looked like people were closing up. I don't know how other people dealth with the snake, maybe the snake only came after patrons and left the people who actually worked here alone.

Somewhere along my way I also found someone giving away free ice cream. I really wasn't in the mood for ice cream, and the set up wasn't all that appetizing. The bowls were all mismatched and they didn't even have a proper ice cream scoop. You were expected to get the ice cream with a regular sized spoon, but the vanilla ice cream did look just right, so white and cool looking, I decided to have some anyway. Then I ended up getting chocolate and stawberry instead. I tasted the ice cream and wished I had stuck with vanilla afterall, but I didn't want to look greedy, but my ice cream wasn't very good. I went back to looking for some chicken nuggets.

Also on the way I come across one of those side walk displays of several black velevet covered tables with boxes of what appeared to be an extensive collection of insects, including butterflies. I stopped to take a good long look at them, and was impressed by the beautiful colors. One moth or butterfly (I forget which) in particular caught my eye, and I stopped there and stared at it for a good long time. Long enough for the snake to find me.

I ran away and the snake chases me and I punch the snake and the snake tries to bite me for a while. I guess I hit it hard enough for it to decide it didn't want anymore of this crap and to find something that didn't hit so hard, but I thought it might come back later anyway. Somewhere along some stairs I encounter my friend Kris. While I have my back to him, he plays a trick on me, but I don't realize what it is until he runs away and I can't find him anymore, even when I call for him. I notice that my ears feel sort of funny and then stick my finger into one of my ears only to find something hard and sort of crunchy stuck in them. Seems my friend has somehow, without me noticing, has stuffed my ears with potato chip crumbs. I begin to dig them out and hope I can get everything out of them. NO telling how bad potato chip crumbs are for your ears. I was pretty sure it wasn't good, and what the hell was he thinking anyway putting them in ears. I was going to give him a good talking to when I found him again, and hoped not to encounter the snake in the meantime.

I don't remember anything else.

I was lucid suddenly, and looking at what I think is a muddy river bed. The water has seeped into the ground, leaving thick black soft mud everywhere. The banks do not look much better, it's just mud, dirt and dead straw on its side. I poke a mound of mud with a stick and decide to do some exploring. I do not think to try to change anything, as I am so used to that not ever working anyway. I pretty much immediately forget I am dreaming as I am walking around this muddy bank. I am suddenly aware there is a group of people who are looking for me. Miraculously they miss me when I am walking among them, simply because they do not expect to find me right under their noses (proverbialy speaking), but I know that's just dumb luck, no one happned to look behind them, if they had, they would have seen me immediately. There are scrubby bushes and thin sickly trees everywhere, so there were lots of places to hide, and I guess these people expected me to be trying to hide. I find a good place to duck out and run away to a poor looking beach with a little row of stores near it, including a place to get a hair cut, a mini-mart and an ice cream parlor. I don't have any money on me, but using magic I conjure up a twenty dollar bill. It's even folded all to hell and looks like it's been passed around for years, so no change anyone would doubt it authenticity. I did think of that, too. On the way to the ice cream parlor I bend over to pick up a small hand towel someone has left on the beach sand. I put it on my head to hide my hair. (in real life I have very unassuming brown hair, but in this dream I had very strikingly blonde hair, and anyone could find me by hardly trying). I then go into the ice cream parlor and ask for one scoop of chocolate ice cream. The vendor behind the counter gives me a suspicious look, and request my identification. I was really confused about that, thinking to myself, "since when do you need ID to buy an ice cream cone?" The man behind the counter explains that without an ID the ice cream will be something like $35 a scoop. Had I had that much I would have paid for it anyway. I wanted the cone to blend in with the other beach goers, and I thought an ice cream cone would look way too casual to be someone who is trying to avoid being seen. I have to leave without the ice cream, but I still have the towel over my head. I decide to return the towel where I found it, and as I am apporaching that spot, and taking the towel off my head I see a tall chinese man in swimming trunks approach that same spot. Apparently the towel was his and he was not thrilled that I had borrowed it without asking, and I am surprised and vaugely amused when he takes this weird kung-fu stance in front of me as if he is about to fight me for the offense of stealing his towel. I give him a sideways look and say "here's your towel back." He doesn't say anything in return and I didn't think he'd actully do anything. It is JUST a little towel for crying out loud. But suddenly he slams me to the ground and I am on my stomach and he's on my back with his elbow in my neck. I am not hurt but rather surprised. I forget how I get out of that, but the next thing I remember was having a new towel to hide my obvious beacon of a head and sitting next to a column of some sort. Don't remember what the coloum was part of, but it was helping to hide me when I spotted one of the people who had been looking for me talking with someone else who appeared to be pointing their finger here and then there. I think maybe they'd seen me. I have a newspaper and hide my face with it, and peer out behind from it every once in a while. They still have not found me. My towel was doing a great job.
